I'm surprised that more incidents like this aren't followed up by law enforcement. This and the elbow from Gronk were assaults that occurred with a weapon with very clear video evidence. If these guys assault women on video their careers are over, but they can hit each other with weapons on live TV and no criminal charges come of it? I also understand it is a violent game, but its not like being on the field and not in the stands should exempt players from being held accountable for assaulting someone. Penalties and fines are cool and all but at what point is this criminal? I know for a fact if I had done that to someone and it was on video I would be charged with assault and would likely do time.

Careers are over? Let me introduce you to Kareem Hunt.

That aside, If the incident that happened last night happened in the parking lot, that’s a felony.

Yeah, its weird that they allow people on TV to get away with crimes when there is slam dunk evidence to convict. Its almost analogous to the porn industry. You can pay a woman to sleep with you as long as its on camera, otherwise its prostitution.. doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Damarious Randall ejected for helmet hit on Diontae

The whole Myles Garrett situation not just this game he’s been fined in two other games for dirty hits.

this defense is ran by Gregg Williams.

coincidence????

I would give Rudolf 1 game for his role. Pouncey gets 2.  Chickengumbo gets 3.  Garrett is out for one year - see you in week 10 of 2020.

What I would like to see:

None of these player get paid while out and the owners send their salaries to a foundation supporting victims of violence.  In addition the owners play the same amounts for their team penalty.

I am not going to read 15 pages on this subject, but I dare say that, if Rudolph did exactly what he did, and Garrett did not swing his helmet, no one would be calling out for Rudolph to be suspended etc.

What Rudolph did was like a mosquito pestering you while you are trying to eat dinner.  What Garrett did was way over the line . . . especially doing it to a fellow NFLPA member who recently had a serious concussion.  With or without the prior concussion, Garrett could have ended Rudolph's career (or even killed him).

I was not singling you out per se, I was just commenting on the fact that there is no comparison between what the two guys did, and no justification for what Garrett did.  Garrett also is freaking huge and powerful with or without the swinging helmet.

What if you are in a state where you do not need to join a union is it okay to make a swing if he exercised his right not to be a member?

If I was arbitrator of NFL I'd make sure he came back week 11 just so he could not get a qualifying year next year.  Some players hold out most of year and qualify for a year without doing bodily harm in last few seconds of a game!

Really run by Gregg Williams?  How does owner, GM and head coach of JEST think of him working this job on the side.  Which side of field does he stand on when JESTS play BROWNIES?

Still not injured.

I slowed-it-down and yes he hits him, but with just the opening in the helmet and not the dome (he's holding it by the facemask), making it far less injurious.  The injury to Tre' is what makes it worse purely on its own, helmet on or not.

And again, the fact that Tre' was completely blameless, unaware, and defenseless, whereas Rudolph instigated it and went after Garrett after getting his helmet ripped-off makes his attack worse.

Strongly disagree, as I think most would, but we'll just have to agree to disagree I guess.

And I'm very much a Bills homer.

Someone typically has to indicate to the police that they want to file charges to start the process.  In some states, there's a process the citizen can follow if the police/prosecutors don't pursue charges but I don't know of any state where law enforcement will pursue charges without the cooperation of the victim (some limited exceptions in DV cases)

Did he or Did he NOT claw and try to rip his helmet off?

So you are pissed about him not getting a 15 yard penalty????

Honestly the helmet swing isn't the scariest part if that incident.   The way he ripped the helmet off could have been bad.   That's one strong dude and he could have snapped his neck...that was a violent tug at the helmet.

Be honest, how would this board react if someone on the Bills did that to Brady.  There's a good chance he would become a legend around here

Ah, No.  I mean, if Brady were injured in the course of a football move, Hero for sure.

Garrett hurt his own team by getting his ass suspended indefinitely for no good reason at all.  That ain't a legend, here or anywhere, that's just a Maroon.
