I just found out about this group a few weeks ago and wow they are awesome. So many of their songs are excellent. The sad thing, is I’ve never heard of most of their bigger hit. I did hear the song “Tempted” on a commercial but the rest were way before my time. Here’s a few good ones. Anyone have any takes on Squeeze? what u talking about Willis? I have the Cool for Cats album.

Seasons1992 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I listened to your Youtube videos to make sure I gave Squeeze a fair chance. I have to pass on them. But I'm happy to learn about a new band, so thanks! I give you, THESE kids:

They had that song “Stars.” Reminds me of corporate alternative radio 9 hours ago, Pete said: You obviously don’t know blind melon then. That’s like saying Radiohead is one hit wonder for “Creep” No way... Radiohead had more than 1 hit across their first three albums. Not a fair comparison 8 hours ago, SlimShady'sGhost said: what u talking about Willis? I have the Cool for Cats album. Cool for Cats is such a good song. How am I just finding about this now

apuszczalowski Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I just heard of this old band called The Beatles, they seem pretty good...... 1
PastaJoe Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 The Buckinghams; in England in the 60s they were one of the most popular bands along with the Beatles and Stones. Songs included Don’t You Care, Hey Baby, Kind of a Drag, and Susan.

If you're over 45, were you living in a cave or on Borneo... Or worse, both. LoL...
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 "Cool for Cats" was a U.K. TV show: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cool_for_Cats_(TV_series)#/search Isn't "Cat" a Beatnik term for a guy? Chick being the female? This line is code for getting jiggy wit a unattractive chick: "...I'm invited in for coffee and I give the dog a bone She likes to go to discos but she's never on her own I said I'll see you later and give her some old chat But it's not like that on the TV when it's cool for cats It's cool for cats (cool for cats)..."

I guess I have to listen to more of their stuff. I only know the song “Stars,” which I didn’t think was that good. It used to be played all the time on the new alternative radio stations that popped up in the mid 90’s 4 hours ago, ExiledInIllinois said: May I ask. How old are you? From what I read it’s an expression, like “it’s cool for cats”
row_33 Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Cool for Cats had a great outro with Jools Holland on piano, he’s my Nicky Hopkins of the 80s and 90s
