My problem is that we already know that every service the federal government attempts to provide is severely degraded in quality. If 2/3 of the house and senate and 3/4 of the states want things like Medicare for All, we can amend the constitution and give that power to the federal government. It’s not complicated. That would necessitate the power grabbers to make compelling cases to the public though, which is why they avoid this process. We don’t live in a democracy, we live in a republic.
