With a capable rushing attack and the rush defense woes, I can’t see Corey Liuget not dressing this week. And while it would blow this board up, I can’t see Oliver not dressing either. My guess is they will dress all five DTs.
Could Lawson go further into this regime’s dog house and not dress? Could Murphy go from making zero impact on the field to zero impact on the inactive list?

Furthermore, with the inclement weather prediction will they dress three or four tight ends?
I have a feeling, they will only dress four WRs - Brown, Beasley, Duke, and Roberts. Also with a healthy Nsekhe and Ford, they might opt to sit a linemen to get Yeldon or Sweeney active.

DT Taylor likely sits, I think, as long as Liuget is up to pace reasonably.

That's a lot to ask of a street FA picked up a few days ago. I do like what he brings though, maybe he'll see some action as I expect a heavy run gameplan on both sides.

Good topic Ethan.

On D I agree we may see 5 DTs.  Lorax, Ed Oliver and Jordan Philips will be key to interior pass rush on passing downs.  Liuget, Star and Vince Taylor get mostly run downs and Jordan Philips as well.  We may only see 4 LBs dress with Lorax, Milano, Edmunds and Thompson as a result.  Or they go with 8 DBs sitting Johnson and Coleman if they dress 5 LBs.

Daboll will likley be able to victimize Browns down the middle so may see Kroft and Knox used on seam patters,.  Smith dresses as 3rd TE.

My guess at WR is Brown, Beasley, McKenzie lead in snaps with Foster or Duke as the spare.  Of course Roberts dresses so 5 here.  McKenzie and Roberts are must haves for big play potential - Roberts on STs.

7 on Oline with Long and Boettger out.   Gates and Ford are the spares again.

Yeldon sits again.  so 4 RBs and 2 Qbs.  21 on O, 22 on D and 3 STers.

How’s that? Not what I would do but what I think they will do.

That is what I would do I think. I'd consider Smith down and Foster up but otherwise that is what I'd go with.

I don't see Foster down anymore this year.  We are going to start seeing more deep shots, continuing this week.  I agree w/ @GunnerBill

Taylor

Long

Smith

Yeldon

Boettger

Sweeney

Coleman

Smith is the guy I’d have out as well. I just don’t think that they will.

I am not generally as down on Smith as I know you have been but actually the tape the last two weeks shows me Kroft blocking pretty well and Dawson (while he has some room to go as a pass blocker) has been a beast in run blocking and has outperformed Smith there. I just don't know at this stage if his blocking is so much ahead of theirs that he is worth a specialist spot.

Kroft hasn't proven an ability to stay healthy and smith is still a better option than sweeney.

Yes I am not suggesting cutting Lee Smith. I am suggesting I might be tempted to make him inactive for this Sunday because I like the matchup of Duke against their corners and I see him as the most expendable for this game.
