It gets boring watching them constantly win, make first downs, break records, have the ref's hand them all the calls. P.S.: thank you Ravens! I honestly hope the niners go undefeated. Some he just can’t get. some he is neck and neck with Brees, who i think has a similar drive.

Gray Beard Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 When I saw the thread title, I was thinking that the record he’s going after is “QB with most wins in Buffalo.” I think he’s third or fourth on that list. I don’t think he’ll catch Jim Kelly.

Here’s where it comes from? The year they went undefeated, they were clearly trying to beat records. The last game of the season, they had the game in hand but still needed yards and a TD for Moss and Brady to break single season records. They stayed in the game and were tossing bombs. I think the game was against the Giants, which made the Super Bowl defeat that much better. There’s a few other examples, that elude my memory, where they played for stats. Then, you hear the rumors of Brady setting himself up for post Pats life as soon as next year. So, after he goes to 4 consecutive Superbowls, maybe 5 is the goal, he will leave the “no fun” team and play out his days in a place he wants to live, like Lebron. Ego has always played a part for Brady and the Hoodie in my opinion. I think the Hoodie has plans for his son and is all about legacy. Stupid? On to something? I don’t know. Just thoughts. But wouldn't it be even sweeter if the bills deny them in the AFC Championship game? A boy can dream...
GregPersons Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Maybe the question to ask isn't whether or not it's something that is specifically motivating him, because there's obviously multiple motivations he or anybody has in doing anything, but how aware is he of the record? A) He obviously knows that this would be the 4th consecutive Super Bowl should they make it, assuming he can count on his fingers and remember the last few years. B) He obviously knows the Buffalo Bills and Jim Kelly and that the early 90s teams remain the franchise's greatest accomplishment, unless we're counting the 1960s, or OJ Simpson's 2000 yard year... he's played football in Buffalo for 20 years, he certainly knows our lore. So how much has he put these thoughts together? How often is he thinking about the Bills at the same time he's thinking about Super Bowl records? Has he smirked his little goblin grin at the idea of climbing to another plateau, one that would count as three wins at once — further solidifying his GOAT status, and further torturing Buffalo? Does he view Bills fans with derision, apathy, contempt, pity? I don't know but I would venture to say that Bills fans think about Brady more than he thinks about Bills fans.
Matt_In_NH Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 The Bills record? LOL Put yourself in his shoes, been to 9 SB's, won 6 and he wants to break or tie SB's played in a row? It is way more plausible he wants the TD and yards records, one more SB and call it a day. I am pretty sure he wants no part of tying a team that LOST four straight SB's, only a Bills fan would think like that. He probably does want to keep the number of wins in Buffalo (By any quarterback) record he has this century. 1

The best was when Favre passed him and he moaned about Favre just racking up the stats, unbelievable.

Steptide Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Unless brady steps up his game, I don't see them making the super bowl this year. He's been very Meh this season. Granted that can change
