Given how many posters on TSW defend every questionable and even stupid move made by McDermott and Beane, and how ignorant so many posters are of what goes on in the NFL, someone posting that Oliver was playing well after he was benched is certainly plausible.

It is plausible, same as it is plausible that people think that drafting Oliver was a bad decision, and that he was benched for his own performance, and not because he got outplayed by Phillips.

I am 100% behind him and want him to the Bills QB the next dozen years. Scoring 20 is not a high benchmark in this league and almost every team would tell you that is the minimum they expect week after week. Here is the Bills record when the opposition scores 20 points vs. the Bills 3-17. The Bills have beaten TB in 2017 30-27 Jacksonville 2018 24-21 Miami 2019 31-21 Discuss???? If only it was as simple as "opening up the offense" and telling Josh to go throw 300 yards! If it was in him to do that or be that type of passer, he would regularly do it now, and have been doing it for a while now. He is a slight upgrade over Tyrod, with a slightly different skill set, but about the same output. I do NOT want him to be the Bills QB for the next dozen years! I want a good QB for a change! Keep looking! He's not it!

The problem Taylor had was that he was afraid to pull the trigger, and he could not perform in the fourth quarter of games. if you recall, anytime we were down in the fourth quarter with Taylor, we knew it was over. Allen is one of the top rated QBs in the fourth quarter, and they have had to rein him in a bit this year to get him to stop playing hero ball. There is no comparison between the two.

Jdragon2 Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 (edited) *insert old man yells at cloud Gif* The day the bills throw for 300 is the day we got into a shootout. The gripe will then become we didn't throw it to the right people or the defense shoulda done more. This board is a psychology students wet dream. Come one! Come all! We've got all your personality disorders covered! Need a paper? Depression! - "We're 6-2 but we actually suck." Manic Depression "we're 6-2 but the Bills are gonna blow it and miss the playoffs" Panic Disorder - "We JUST. CAN'T. HIT. 300 YARDS!!! Schizophrenia - "Josh Allen is a god! Wait no.... no... put in Matt Barkley JA sucks" Self-Deprecation "The bills are total losers, we did this to ourselves and it's our own fault for not trading our entire draft stock next year to get Aj Green" Narcissistic tendencies - "Sure John Brown is catching balls, but what about Cole Beasley!? He's been targetted like 3 times less. Unless he's involved our wins don't matter. I don't care what you people say!" Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - "The Bills need to score 30+ points and allow fewer then 10 for me to be happy. But it has to be with Josh Allen throwing for 300+ yards, our Rbs being over 100 yards rushing and with each WR, TE, RB catching at least 5 targets OR THIS GAME IS WORTHLESS TO ME AND THEY NEED TO DO IT RIGHT OR I'M GOING TO BE TRIGGERED FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK!" I mean. Free inspiration? Amirite? Edited November 5, 2019 by Jdragon2 1 1

But how does this compare to other teams/coaches? Maybe he's right in the middle of the pack.. but we'd never know! He's from the Wayne Arnold School of Posters Who Can't Post Good. 2

And yes 300 yards passing usually results in more points and enables you to stay in games where the other team puts up 20+. Since the start of last season, 300 yard passers are exactly .500. Coach has had Tyrod, Peterman, Tyrod, Peterman, a young Allen, Anderson, Barkley & a young Allen for QBs during his time here & is still above .500 even while shedding talent and having $55 million in dead cap space last year. I good him for now.

Does anyone know how this compares to the rest of the league the past 3 seasons? And I would ask, what is our record when holding opponents under 20?
