Chef Jim
One of the best debut albums of all time was released. I’m sure many of you will argue that there are many others worthy of this praise but these guys were, and still are, my favorite band. https://www.wsj.com/amp/articles/taking-instruments-to-new-heights-11572629017 EDIT: Sorry I didn't know you needed to sign in to the WSJ to read the article. It was very good but here is the album I'm referring to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Allman_Brothers_Band_(album) Edited November 4, 2019 by Chef Jim 4
Seasons1992
Slightly off topic, but I listed to the Fillmore East record this weekend. SO GOOD. My only Allmans record and the only one I need.

Thought Live at Fillmore East is awesome it's pieced together from three separate shows. I'd rather listen to the whole show including the chatter with the crowd in between. If any of you like jam band and you like live music this is the best app ever. https://www.nugs.net/stream/music/

They're no Dave Matthews Band, but definitely pretty good.

Not a huge fan of their mashups but they are fun. They usually do a Halloween show of only mashups but they didn't do that this year.

They did an acoustic set (30-40 minutes) dedicated to Robert Johnson. It was phenomenal. This is why I try to get my son to as many "legends" concerts as possible. A lot of these guys/bands will either be dead or retired by the time he's old enough to go on his own. He appreciates it and loves every one of them. I have FAR too many, "damn, I wish I'd have seen him/her/them before it was too late."

Saw them at The Fox in Oakland for their 40th anniversary tour in 2009. That was an awesome show and Derek and Warren were amazing together. Shame only Jaimoe and Dicky are left. My biggest issue with the Dave Matthews Band is Dave Matthews' "ridiculous singing". They'd be awesome with a real vocalist.
