I hope all of the national media,  sportscasters, and tv personalities that were ball washing the Jets up until the season started are forced to walk around with cones of shame on their heads for increased visibility.

I think Gase needs 4 more years. Can’t give up on HCs this early.

Have you looked at his coaching? Four years? Not a Jet fan but their organization from owner down may be as bad as any.

Really.  Looked like the Jet players wanted it, especially Darnold.  Only takes one or two snaps past a QB to lose.

Why fire Gase? It might hurt your draft position.

I assume they hired Gase to tank.

Hiring a head coach who ownership knew would be disaster would be way to attract a new coach who you promised full control of roster.

Now whether Rex is able to convince a team to hire Gase as head coach to replace him is the question - if they were stupid enough to hire Gase why not rehire me?

The Jets hired him because of this myth that young QBs all need offensive head coaches. It is nonsense. When hiring a Head Coach find the best leader you can and hire him. The answer to that question is never Adam Gase.

Why did Miami want to win this game?  That is what I don't get.

1. Fitz always plays hard no matter what

2. Fitz revenge game (he has one every week because he played everywhere)

3. The Dolphins hate Gase so double revenge game

This is why you can’t tank in the NFL.  No matter how much the owner may want it and the coach might understand it, you’ll never get players to do it.

Can't blame the players and to a lesser degree the coaches.  They all want to stick around and make the big money while they can.  The players who think they can compile big stats to brag about after retirement don't want to be ragged on about that "one down year."  In the short term even if guys don't stick with the Dolphins they want to have good film to show other teams to be able to sign elsewhere.

Brian Flores is a far better coach 1/2 season in than Gase will ever be

Good points.  I suppose Fitz doesn't want to tank for Tua.  Miami has the Redskins, Bengals, and Falcons as competition for worst team.  The only team I see as competition for Tua might be Cincy; I think the Skins believe in Haskins (who wasn't terrible) and Falcons will keep Matt Ryan.  Not sure if the Bengals have their QB of the future.
