It’s seems every game a lot of people are not removing their hats. This includes you ladies you are not exempt from removing your head gear. For the love of your country stand remove your hats and honor this great country. Thanks !!!! What makes America great is Americans are free to do (legally) as they please. It's called freedom. 3 5

More people in the stadium disrespect the anthem by pissing during it, buying food during it, smoking during it, drinking during it, etc etc etc, yet you never hear these folks get railed at by the woke patriotics. Also starting to cheer before the anthem is over.
DC Tom Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 I only remove my hat for Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog." Or maybe that's "pants." 3 2

It’s not your place to be offended by it. Sorry - not at all your place to decide what Chicharito gets offended at. Not at all. Having said that, it’s absolutely your choice to keep your hat on or remove it. Welcome to America.

MarkAF43 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Interesting isn’t it? They get offended by something, I point out it’s not their right to be offended by it, you chime in to tell me it’s not my place. My whole point is that it’s the individuals choice whether or not to take off the hat or not.

Why don't you shut up and go away? Take your ***** hat with you. 2 4

If no, what if O Canada follows the Star Spangled Banner .... your cap is already off, so do you politely refrain from putting it back on? What if you're Canadian, does the opposite apply? I think all of this removing your hat stuff comes from distinguishing civilian from military. Military, in uniform with "caps" on are to salute when the national anthem is played. Might be old fashioned and more of a ceremonial thing than practical today. but that's my interpretation as a veteran. In my opinion, its waaayyyy more disrespectful to talk and socialize during the anthem, which happens a lot, than to not remove your hat. Edited October 30, 2019 by Bferra13

klos63 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 You should also remove your hat when a lady enters the room. And stand as well. Seriously though, all you super patriots need to give it a rest. Stop telling people how they are supposed to behave. 1 1
Kirby Jackson Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Why do we play the anthem before games? 1
