The hell?... Is this a move where the dolphins are eating cap for a high pick?

It's not really a high pick. If the Rams make the playoffs, this pick is closer to a 6th. Strange move, unless they get a comp pick when they let Talib go in the off season. Even then, I'm having a tough time wrapping my head around this one.

Dang, poor guy. Why would Miami trade for anybody??

He is on IR. And they gained a pick to take the salary. He will never play a down for MIA

Decent move by the Dolphins - get a draft pick for taking on his remaining salary. He is UFA after this season. Given our cap situation, we could have done such a move too. And he could have been CB insurance after week 15.

What a strange and bizzare move for an organization in full on tank mode.

Well maybe not if they are getting a pick and not giving up anything

This basically equates to buying a draft pick (aka Brockweiller to Browns a couple of years ago) in exchange for giving LA some much needed cap room.  Just reinforces the journey into full tank mode.

They purchased a 5th round pick at the expense of a 7th and the rest of Talib's salary, is that the story?  So a 5th round pick for a 7th and $4.5M?

Just imagine Brock Osweiler was a DB......

Miami needs to start getting some extra cardio for the FO......turning in all those draft cards could get exhausting! What’s the most picks any one team has had on a single draft? And they have a ton of HIGH picks!

Basically. I guess LA really wanted to dump that salary.

Perhaps Miami understands that Talib's prowess for penalties will further negatively impact their season. ?

He is kind of like Lee Smith in that regard.

During Smith's first tenure here, he was flagged 15 yards for unsportsman like conduct while standing on the sideline in his street clothes.

Haha.  Rams must need cap space for another move.  Humbling for a player when team trading him has to give up a draft pick to get a team to take him.

Been happening a fair amount in the NBA in recent years.
