We have a young quarterback who has an absolute cannon. We drafted him at #7. He has a group of receivers that are mediocre at best.

I'm sorry, I can't wrap myself around how improving the receiving corps is not our top need. For years and years I have been on this board screaming and begging for blockers. Not any longer whereas talented receivers is a dire, make or break need for this team.

Jmo.

Allen struggles to find open receivers. The ones we have get open. Why get more when he doesn’t use the ones we have?

Allen needs to read what’s in front of him a lot better than he has.

I'm calling a big trade for Bills today.  Just a hunch...

Go Bills!

Is one BIG trade really going to change anything?

Im so disappointed in our run defense I don’t even know how to put it nicely,

IMO we should just keep our draft picks and use the free agency to build the team

I honestly don't get the don't make a move crowd, hoard the choices, we have cap to deal with it later and besides we aren't SB contendors. Excuse me, but why are waiting to take on talent that helps us this year, next, the year after etc. Talent is what is needed to improve and solve issues, whether it comes now, next week, after the season, FA/Draft. Fix it don't wait.

After watching the eagles run the ball down our throats like that, you don’t think DT is our biggest need?

Adding another WR is important, but not the biggest need imo.

John Brown is an absolute stud.  Beasley is an above average slot WR.  We could upgrade Duke.  Foster and mckenzie as 4ths aren’t terrible, both have proven to be able to make big plays.

If the Bills had Upgrades to their offensive skills positions that would be a threat to score more which would help take the pressure off the defence having to be perfect all game and would make the defence better. They wouldn't have to worry that a small mistake could cost them big because they won't be able to get the points back. The idea of having a dominating defence to carry a team isn't happening anymore, offences are going to score on even the best defences and you need to be able to keep up with your opponent. NEs defence isn't an all time best like some are trying to say they are, they look much better cause they have an offence that scores points and they aren't on the field all game cause the offence can't stay on it

@thebandit27 if you’re so confused go watch the all-22. See all the open receivers Allen misses. It’s all on film for everyone to see. I don’t understand why people refuse to believe it when it’s right in front of their face.  Go to the games, sit in the upper deck so you can see everything unfold. It happens every week. Smh

Agree with Kyle Brandt on One Bills Live.  If you want to WIN  a playoff game, they have to get a WR or RB an upgrade the offense.  They have to lock the player up though. None of this rental nonsense. I don't think the Bills should give away anything "real" away like a first rounder, and I don't think you can get a significant player for anything like a third rounder.

Get a grip? All I am saying is they are a Wild Card team that likely will not get out of the first round.  If they somehow did, they will NEVER beat the elite teams in the NFL, and there is no single player available in a trade that can change that.  Just stand pat and upgrade in the off season. This is not a championship team, but it is a MAJOR improvement over last year.

They almost got out of the first round in 2017 with arguably the worst starting QB to ever play in the playoffs (neck and neck with Lamont Jackson).

With proper game planning, coaching and play calling, they've shown that a) their offense can move the chains against a top defense (Pats game) and b) their defense can be a solid Top 3 NFL D (Pats game and others prior to the last two).

Of course they need upgrades.

Would it take the Bills' best effort and a couple slip-ups on a superior opponent's end in order to go deep into the playoffs?  Yes.

But let's not pretend these teams are leaps and bounds better than Buffalo.  They are not.  None of them.

So yes ... get a grip.

Why don't you start a new thread with actual examples from the all-22, instead of posting about it in the trade news thread.

Why the hell can't we have one nice thread without the schmucks ruining it?

What are you complaining about?  People are just disagreeing on how good the Bills are.  Some think they can make a move an contend for a Super Bowl, others don't. Two legitimate points of view.

New England d is killing it this year. They have 25 takeaways through 8 games and have returned 4 for touchdowns. This is the first year in a long time their offense isn't that good. We match up with them well as we our physical up front and have the talent to take their playmakers out for the most part.  Jamie Collins and Gilmore are playing like beasts

Unfortunately, the games aren't played in slow motion with pause buttons.

Yes they are.  It is all about the offensive and defensive lines. The Bills just got BLOWN OUT at HOME by a mediocre NFC team.  Watch the game.  The Bills lines were destroyed.

1. I was replying to a post in this thread.

2. I’ve tried. Pics don’t upload.

3. A lot of it watching live.

Biggest chatter out there with a few hours to go:

RB: Gordon or Bell

WR: Evans, Green, Gabriel

TE: Eifert, Howard

DT; Billings

OJ Howard goes to the Patriots and I will throw up.

The run defense had one bad game.  Ranked 10th in the league prior to that.  That said, one big trade is unlikely to make a huge difference in the w/l for the year, unless a stud WR is truly available.  That could help them win a game or two IMO.

We are less than 3 hours from the deadline. Is it standard that there is literally not a single actual trade reported by now?

No, because a bunch of big trades already happened this year.
