Strange the last few years the trade deadline was way more active. And remember the Kelvin Benjamin trade was reported like 15 minutes  after the deadline

NFL brings this on themselves...  They do a lot right to generate buzz, but with comp picks, they give incentive for super lame trade deadlines. 

 

Meanwhile the NBA's is absolute mayhem.

i feel like its common sense. a player in his early 30s is not going to be able to contribute to the long term success of a rebuilding organization. Especially in the early process.

 

The dolphins are doing it right. the bengals? not so much.

It's just the nature of the people who run the league.  They are a very conservative bunch.


Although the trade picture has loosened up in recent years and it is getting better, slowly.

ESPN and other sports outlets do the majority of it.  Oh well.
