bills6969 Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 I think it’s pretty clear, with how bad the AFC is this year that 10 wins is the target for a wildcard berth (9 wins may even get us there, but let’s not risk it). Here’s how we get to 10: Must win games: vs Skins at Fish vs Broncos vs Jets These are absolute must wins. We can not afford loses here. All 4 teams are at the bottom of league and quite frankly if we can’t beat all of them then we are not a playoff team. Assuming we take care of business, this gets us 4 wins. 50/50 games: at Browns at Steelers both games will be toss-ups IMO. Both teams having mediocre years, but will be tough. If we can pull 1 win out of these 2 that gets us to 10 wins, BOOM! Not likely: at Cowgirls at Pats vs Ravens These are the toughest remaining games left and don’t see us winning. If we take care of business above, we won’t need to win any of these games, but if we ***** the bed against any of the must win games we may be forced to win at least one of these games which would not be ideal. 1

row_33 Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Pats road trip is a loss unless the Pats sandbag it for complete indifference (and even then...)
BuffaloBaumer Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Anyone with an above-average defense is going to make this offense look awful every single time. I have a hard time imagining they will beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh. The Browns will also devour our offense.

All the complaints about the team by the critics here and abroad and it boils down to one thing. They have to execute better. Last 2 weeks have been lackluster and it isn't all on the OC. It isn't all on Josh. It isn't all on the D . It is about the team not playing well. They can clean that up. It isnt like we are the Fins or other 2 or less win teams. We have seen this team play better. they will turn this around. Everyone needs to remember what our bad games were like last year. 40 point blowouts. The key to turning this around is playing sound football.
Buffalo Dude Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Jacksonville, Titans, Oakland only other teams close to the last Wild Card spot right now. A little early but Bills and Texans have great odds to make playoffs.
chaccof Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 if the team plays like they did the last two games I'm certain that the Cleveland game is a win and the Pittsburgh game would be a definite L. The rest of your observations make sense.

What if we lose two “must wins”, win a “tough game” and win a “mediocre game” but win the rest but lose the last Pats game? Then what happens? 1
zow2 Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 I feel like we will lose one of Denver, Wash, Jets, Miami. and they will win one of Browns or Steelers. If they somehow lose 3 of those 6 games, no playoffs.

Boatdrinks Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 They’re 5-2, so they need to win 5 more. Probably doesn’t matter which 5, but any less than that and it could matter a lot. From the looks of the AFC this year, 10 is probably the magic number for a WC berth.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Nine games and need to go 5-4 for the playoffs. This is an above 500 team.

The ravens’ game will be at home and quite possibly in terrible weather (December 8). I wouldn’t write that one off. Baltimore is good, but hardly great.
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 If we don’t fix the run defense then the answer is ; we don’t 1
Dablitzkrieg Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 I'm nervous about looking farther ahead than this game. The run defense is concerning. AP could run for 150 on this defense.

Both Browns and Sterlers are winnable games baltimore at home is winnable. dallas isn’t all that impressive. buffalo without mistakes best New England.
transplantbillsfan Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 I think we're going 12-4 or, more likely, 11-5. I know people are flipping out about the loss yesterday, but as despondent as people are about the loss to the Eagles, shouldn't they logically also be that much more encouraged by our game against the Patriots game, which we almost won despite 3 interceptions by our rookie QB along with him getting knocked out of the game just when he was starting to get his legs under him along with a ridiculous blocked punt for a TD? Stop flipping out people! McDermott & Co. will make adjustments and the sky isn't falling. 1 1
CaptnCoke11 Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 I think they get to 9 wins this season. Sadly with the state of the AFC that could get them in the playoffs
