The Bills Defense is good, not great and this continual play it close to the vest and between the 20's eventually is exposed.  And vs. a 3-4 team at home.

Lot's of lessons learned and hope the Coaching Staff has some answers.

Luckily the next 4 games are all very winnable.

Those 2 statements are looking very dubious after this game.

They were great, then after the bye week, they became sloppy. In this case, having a great defense ended up being a detriment. Daboll relied too much on our D, and today we paid for it

Is it good though?  Pretty alarming the last 2 weeks.

I'm not sure what this means... If the defense plays the way they have to date, we win this game. Defense isn't everything, but it wasn't anything today.

The offense needs to start pulling their weight.  You can't expect the defense to be lights out for the full 60 minutes.

Our defense is marginally above average and our schedule has been as easy as it gets. That's the truth of it. White is good, but not great. The same goes for Hughes, Poyer and Lorenzo. Hyde is very good, but not elite. The rest of the defense could very easily be replaced with no loss.

The defense had a bad game. Not sure if I am ready to downgrade them just yet.

So the offense was to blame for the first half meltdown. Then when the Defense shat all over themselves out of the third, the Offense bailed them out and put us back in it. After that, the Defense looked horrible and the offense followed suit.

It was a team loss completely, but if the D had played to their level, the offense likely would have found a way to get it done.

It’s not all about defense, but I’m really not sure that’s the lesson I take watching this game.

Our D got gashed badly.  Blown out.

If you want to win against any decent team you have got to be able to stop the run up the middle on D

If you want to win against any decent team you have GOT to be able to get off the field any time you have them pinned 3rd and >10

Let’s remember the Eagles strengths are our greatest weakness. Big DL first team to stop our run game, and their OL dominated in the 2nd half and wore down our DL. We know other teams will try to replicate this formula.

True. Defense allowed 31 to a mediocre offense through run plays. 9 minute back-breaking drives didn't hurt. But def Allen's fault.

The Bills have an a excellent defense that had a bad day.

Hell, the 85 Bears even had a couple off days.

The offense looks putrid. That’s the storyline.

OK, we lost a game and 5 - 2, let's not fall into TBD panic and drama looking for scapegoats, it happens and we are only half way through the season - why does the "coaching staff" needs answers? How about we just got beat!

Not allowed on TBD, win them all or face attack!

What running game? Our current running game is a 36 old RB. Other teams use rookie RBs. Shoot...our rookie RB seems to crush it every time he gets a chance. But can't hurt a HOfers feelings.
