Both Milano and Thompson are questionable - game time decisions. Limited all week. If Maurice Alexander starts at LB it’s going to be very tough sledding with not only Ertz/Goddert at TE  but Jordan Howard. We saw that last week - mark walton was getting chunk yards on the ground and mike gesiki had success in the pass game. All those guys from last week aren’t as good as all the guys coming in this week. At every position. OL, WR. QB, RB. TE. I think Hyde and Edmunds can handle TEs but having that LB spot undermanned is scary. I think with Milano’s hammy and the rainy forecast we will see a similar situation as them holding out Singletary vs the Titans

i get it wet conditions can still contribute to further damage of a healing hammy injury but isn't the main concern the turf?  Titans are natural grass and the bills artificial, better footing, drainage, etc.

not discounting that McD may choose to be cautious but don't you think it's less likely a primary factor when it's artificial turf?

Wow, I hoped we would get at least one back.  We seemed to adjust somewhat in the 2nd half against Mi Yammi.  I hope Frazier and McD have notions.

But Beasley, WTF?

I’m a little confused why they didn’t choose to address the position in the bye and even this week. They know hamstrings take time. No telling when Thompson’s ankle would’ve been right. I get that there is no all pro linebacker walking through those doors anytime soon to replace them, but the fact that they are leaning on a third string, special teams ace and converted safety is concerning. Especially in light of last weeks results. What happens if Mo Alexander gets hurt? They probably assumed one or both would be back by now, but knowing how conservative they are with injuries, just thought they would’ve tried to bring someone else in just in case.

I took it as a good sign that they didn’t bring anyone in. But now I’m not so sure.

Same here. That’s what makes it more puzzling. They have more information than we do. Both guys are now trending toward inactive two straight weeks after the bye. Just seems odd they wouldn’t bring in help. Especially seeing what happened last week. Who knows, maybe one will actually play making this all moot.

I think the rain could play to our favor in this game, shortening the field a bit, and bringing our corners closer to the LOS, and also causing both teams to run more. This could be a big game for Motor.

But also, we now have three WRs with exceptionally reliable hands in Smoke, Cole, and Duke (assuming Duke plays). This may not be the game where Allen dials in the long bombs, but some of Daboll's gadget plays could hit big.

As I understand it Thompson had a "clean out" procedure done and the timeline for returning from those seems usually better-defined than a straight injury

But, maybe not.

Apparently Milano was out of the red jersey though

Duke still in red jersey on Friday, questionable

Looks like Foster may get a crack at the lineup.

One of the reporters said Milano didn’t need a red jersey because it was soft tissue or something and contact wasn’t an issue -?but it didn’t mean he was further ahead than Duke - not sure though

Do you got a linky?

It doesn't make sense to me just from what you've written above

Well on the plus the Bills aren't coming off a bye...

I'm not sure how much was attributable to Alexander being in there and how much was attributable to coming off the bye.

Guess we will find out if neither Thompson or Milano play.

We all should know rain doesn't do anything to the passing game. Only wind and extreme cold I think QBs have said.

Conventional wisdom holds that rain decreases passing efficiency in numerous ways, including limiting the WR's ability to cut, making it harder for a QB to maintain a tight spiral, and harder for receivers to grip the ball. Faster thrown balls are harder to catch when they're wet. Grass fields, especially will cause route runners to lose traction making it harder to adjust to the ball. There are stats that back up these concepts.

It was on the radio or a podcast, can’t remember. But to me no red jersey is promising
