So they IR him and put him through waivers where some deadbeat team can claim him. Not so dumb.

I think it has to do with the IR they couldn’t cut him because he was injured so they had to put the IR on him but since he will be healthy in 2 weeks he would want to be cut with injury settlement - something like that
