Bennett is one of those guys who has always been a difficult character to manage. There was a period 4 or 5 years ago when he was arguably the best all round dlineman in the NFL. He could do it all: set the edge, rush from the outside, penetrate from the interior or hold up as a 1 tech at the point of attack. You just lined him up at any spot on the line and he made plays. When he was that talented he was worth the additional effort to manage him and get him to buy in. But the skills are diminished and while he is still good enough to start in the NFL he is no longer the special guy you make exceptions for.

This right here!  Also he will not be cut! He may get traded for a 5th or something like that but definitely not cut. BB wants to control where he goes.  (As for Gordon he isn’t the same but I hope he keeps his act together no matter where he goes.. I like him.)
