When he let it fly, I thought it was going out of the Stadium.   He seemed to throw it about as hard as he could, so I doubt he could throw one out.

LOL!!!

I don't know Shaw, as another poster posted. Allen had more room to move forward.

Partially joking but hear me out on this one.  Section 204, 205, 239 and 240 have 18 rows.  He was able to get it to the 12th row and was on the end zone white when he let it go.  So he probably had about 25-30ft of extra room.

I think he could do it with optimal conditions.

He was aiming for the 10th row but overthrew it.

SORRY. Someone had to.

Peterman would have thrown it to a Fins fan.

Yes i think he had at least 5 yards, he needs to have a tighter spiral and wind behind him, if  all that happens he could do it imo.

Idk... In the article Josh says he saw fans up there screaming and decided to give them a souvenir.

But I'm not buying that. I've seen Josh say he wants to throw the ball out of the stadium as a celebration and I think that's what he was trying to do.

Of course the press thought he was trying to hit the press box (yeah, right).

If you actually watch his postgame presser, it's clear he's being, um, "politically correct" when he says he wanted to give the fans up there a souveneir.

He told Jim Kelly in that "celebration" fluff piece they did that the NFL would fine him for throwing the ball out of the stadium.

In his presser at about 3:09, when the question is asked, he says, "yeah, um..." and looks off camera to his right, presumably to his Bills PR handler, then he gets this little grin before he says that the fans in the top row were yelling pretty loud and he wanted to give them a souveneir.

Sounds as though it went to a great guy though - lifelong fan, made a clean catch.  It woulda been a shame if it went to a douche who snatched it away from a young kid, or a Miami fan or something.

Imagine Dan Marino flying out of the press box and diving in front of dozens of stunned Bills fans to makes the catch.

Yuck

RoyBatty is alive, you are spot on per usual! Josh really exposed some mechanical flaws in his ability to throw it out of the stadium Sunday. Hopefully this is something Jordan Palmer can work with him on in the offseason.

Yeah but how far did the throw go?  Any info here on that?

More of a vertical throw so the actual horizontal distance traveled may not have been that impressive IMO.

He better get practicing.  It would be a big letdown if someone like Mahomes comes to Buffalo and throws it out before Josh Allen does.

Over 65 yards at that height is amazing IMO.

and how much further on the downward trajectory would it have gone?
