Most heartfelt moment: about 14:30 Jordan Palmer talking about Ryan Fitzpatrick and how he's "one of the most difficult guys to ever compete against because he's so likeable - "everybody loves him, he's hysterical, he's smart, he's witty". For those who don't know, Palmer, who was drafted by the Skins in the 6th round in 2007, was cut and spent 2007 in the Arena League. He was then signed by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008 to back up his older brother Carson. But the previous year, the Bengals had traded a 7th round pick to St Louis for Ryan Fitzpatrick. When Carson was injured, it was Fitz who got the nod. So when he's talking about competing with Fitzpatrick as a QB, he speaks as one who lost that round. (Jordan misremembers though, it was not Fitz's first year either with the Bengals or in the league)

The way I remember it, Fitz was the #2 and Jordan was the #3, so it's not like Fitz leapfrogged him when Carson went down.
Big C Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Anyone care to summarize the bit on Allen? Can't watch the video right now
JESSEFEFFER Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 My big takeaway was his answer to the question about where Josh needed to improve the most. "Better at situational football," was his reply. I think we have heard coach McD say the same thing. 1

Can't watch the video right now He's used to getting the ball out quickly since he has a strong arm, but he also has the ability to throw "touch passes" - he's learning when to do that and when to fire rocket balls. He's on a team with a solid D and a good rushing attack, so he needs to not put the whole game on his shoulders and learn when it's appropriate to be a game manager. 1

I think having the stellar defense allows him to make some mistakes without Jeopardizing the W. Just gotta make sure he's learning from them. Definitely need to see him take the easy stuff and eat the ball on broken plays more early on.

Can't watch the video right now He was asked what Josh Allen needed to improve. He said that Josh can make all the throws and throw with touch, but that he never worried about throwing with anticipation because he relied on his arm strength to zip it into a small window. Said in the off season, Josh worked hard at throwing with anticipation and with touch and he's improved significantly and having Beasley and Brown has really helped and he's improved more since the start of the season. Said what Josh most needs to improve now is situational football - getting better at protecting the football and managing the game. Said when you have that defense and you have a high completion percentage**, it's managing the game and playing good situational football. **I like how he tucked that plug for Josh Allen's accuracy in there 2 2
