I have largely stopped listening to the show. But this afternoon I called it up on my computer and haven't heard a single caller. Granted, I have drifted in and out of range of  the speakers, but I haven't heard any voices other than the hosts and Joe B. Maybe it's because it's Friday and they have their silly fantasy football nonsense to talk about, but it seems that here is no real interaction with fans. Is this an aberration? Or is this the new normal for the show?

Well Fridays are a little different format with their “football roundtable” stuff with a lot of in-studio guests. That may be why you haven’t heard callers today. Yes, unfortunately they still take callers mon-thurs for sure.

One would hope not...

No idea but something feels like they got spooked a few weeks ago.

I feel like it was right around the time of the Entercom radio hack thing happened but they have pretty much followed right along in the footsteps of talking up the team as much as the other shows.

They still throw in their "but" quibs here and there but I've never heard them talk so positive of the Bills when both have historically said they both don't like/trust what they see.

I’ve never listened to them, but the continuous comments over time by so many people have convinced me that the show is something I will never have first hand knowledge of.  The few that call the show are never happy they called in, what’s that tell you...

I feel like overall WGR features less callers than they used to 10 or 20 years ago.  It could be because there are other immediate ways to interact with hosts/show like social media.  Also, some of the callers are pretty brutal.  I don’t think that “callers” are as big of a part of talk radio as they had been in the past.

Whether you love or hate schopp and the bulldog. Listening to their post game shows, especially after home games, is hilarious. The disdain they have to drunk callers and needing to do traffic updates. So many people call in just to heckle them.

This is true. Twitter and texts are better because you can vet the questions and comments. Who wants to listen to angry people call the team soft because back in their day the tea would retaliate when someone hit their teammate like that.

Every bills fan, including the people on this board are suddenly more positive about the team, then they have been in 20 years. Were we hacked by entercom radio too?

The actually get a lot of prank calls and they have for years.  It got to the point where I kept waiting for Schoop to dump out of a call.  They have a pretty lengthy delay which is which you never really hear the words that get them dumped.

or ask Thurman how PISSED he was when a few of the Patriots were warming up on the sidelines near the tunnel when he was finishing up his Wall of Fame induction speech.

The only thing worse than Schoop & Bulldog are the callers. I cant remember the last time they went to the phones and I heard a coherent, insightful take. Couple that with the fact that most of the callers sound like theyve never spoken on the phone before, let alone been on the spot on the radio. So much nonsensical rambling and hot takes.

As much as I hate Colin Cowherd, the one theory he has that I agree with is about the people that call into sports talk radio. He calls them "The Wrong Guy". The people you get calling in are the guys who have made so many Wrong decisions in their lives that they have the time in the middle of the day to sit on hold just to get 30 seconds to give a Wrong opinion about grown men playing a game.

At this point, WGR callers only serve for comic relief and satire like the Frank In Cheektowaga twitter account.

Do you like Murph?

I don’t mind them. I just don’t listen to them very often. When I do I think they are fine. Schopp can be irritating but I also don’t mind that in sports talk. I find Cowherd irritating and entertaining at the same time. Same with Rome.

Meh, I get he's just there to shill for the company since he literally broadcasts his show from the One Bills Drive offices. I dont get to listen to his show that much since it's on while I'm working. Seems like it's mostly filler with player interviews and feel-good pieces.

Simon and Jeremy are probably the best, imo. I dont mind S&B that much when they are actually talking sports. The callers are always horrible no matter which show theyre calling.

I wasnt but I can't say the same for anyone else on here.

My point was more to the fact that no matter what the Bills have done in the past, Schopp has always held a "they suck" mentality.

Most of us are usually positive because we want to be. He has always been down on the team and miserable because whatever reason he comes up with that day.  Hell even after wins he would come in on Monday and act like it was nothing important and crap all over fans that were happy about the win.

I only point to the Entercom thing because his attitude change around the time it happened.

The Bills have been 2-0, 3-0 in the past but he never changed his outlook.

Murph has a great show.

Schopp and Bulldog not so much. Can't even listen to it anymore, it's beyond painful.
