Ugh.  I may actually have to root for the Yankees in the WS.

See 2015 Mets. Although the Royals weren’t loaded with pitching,  they just won with just good enough pitching, timely hitting and great defense.

Royals won that series because they had a lineup of hitters who ALL put the bat on the ball.  Very few strikeouts.  AND they played excellent defense.  Very similar to last year's Red Sox.

Mets defense (specifically Daniel Murphy at 2B) cost them early in the series.  KC was simply the better team.

The Yankees/Astros game last night showed us how important those two things are, because they Yankees struck out a lot with RISP and their defense was atrocious.

As happens most times in the LDS and LCS, the better teams are winning.  Better pitching, better (more disciplined) hitting and better management will win a 7-game series 9.999 times out of 10.

i certainly root for the Nats and am happy for them and the so many people i know who love the Nats. Having said that, had a bunch of folks call/text say lets go to a game. Walk in for SRO right now is $760 on Stubhub!!!!!

There better be a Pink Floyd concert, with Gilmour and Waters, after the game for that kind of money.  And free beer!

The throw was bad but Wrights weak arm at third contributed as well. Having defensive liabilities at 3 infield positions will catch up to you eventually.

There's still a few left. Not many.

They also replaced the Bills as the team with the longest playoff drought.

I don't get throwing your best pitchers out there on 3-days rest when it's not necessary.

Verlander and Paxton both pitched on Sunday. The rain out put them back on 4 days rest.

Piss on the Nats. They never should have left Montreal!

there wasn’t and isn’t support in Montreal for a MLB team, all there is be sentiment and people thinking it would be nice to go to one game every few years
