PromoTheRobot Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 It only took 50 years but you are finally NL champs and in the a World Series. 2
KD in CA Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Ugh. I may actually have to root for the Yankees in the WS. 1

Gugny Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 They got hot at the right time. Good for them. They ousted the Dodgers and that made me pretty damn happy. Not like, "we got a 3rd round pick for Tyrod," happy. But pretty damn happy. Neither the Yankees nor the Astros are playing consistently great baseball. Nationals will be a tough out. I bet Bryce Harper wishes he took that $300 million they offered him. And I bet the Nats are glad he didn't. 1
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Not a huge baseball fan ... but I may have more of an interest after the Nationals 1

Reminds me of the D'backs winning with Schilling and RJ . I think the layoff could help them out. Travel days and any rain-outs during the series will almost surely help. If either the Astros or Yankees get to the Nats bullpen it won't be pretty.
Tierlifer Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 2019 Nats remind me of the 2015 Mets with their pitching. 2

I'll root for the Yankees when they play al qaeda... Fun fact: 9 of the last 10 teams that swept the LCS went on to lose the World Series. Edited October 17, 2019 by Ned Flanders

Tierlifer Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 The Seattle Mariners now remain the only franchise to never have made a World Series appearance yet.

They also got lucky they had to face St Louis in the NL finals whom many believe shouldn't have been in the playoffs..... Only team left in MLB without a pennant is Seattle....
CowgirlsFan Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Congratulations ? It's always fun to see a team go to the World Series for the first time. 1
