Three disclaimers:

1- This thread is an excersise in futility as it seems very very unlikely that Cam gets moved.

2- Cam Newton has no place on the Buffalo BIlls. Don't even mention it. That's not what this thread is about. I don't care about the Carolina connection, I don't care about how he fits the Allen style. There's no room on this Bills team for Cam. The only thing less likely than Cam getting traded, is Cam getting traded to the Bills. So don't think I'm suggesting that or thinking it could happen.

3- Mods, if this is worthless let me know and it'll be gone as soon as it came.

That being said- Watching this segment of Pat McAfee's show:

Left me thinking...

Is it possible (as it seems it might be) that Cam's job is there for the taking by the lesser Allen?

If that happens, is it then possible that Cam becomes a trade piece?

If yes to those two things, where does it make sense for him to go?

And if he is going to go, what is a Cam Newton worth at this point in his career, coming off that injury?

discuss.

I wouldn't touch that guy with a 39 1/2 foot pole.  His best days are long behind him and he's a basket case with a supersized ego to match.  Essentially untradeable

.....and now his new "Prince Look-A-Like Pressers"......SMH....the fedoras were bad enough......

If you can get something for him then by all means send him packing. He hasn't been the same player since the SB loss to the Broncos and he's gotten pretty strange in that time. He seems like another one more in love with the fame than the game. Allen has shown enough to be given the reigns. If it doesn't work out it leaves you in the same spot it did with Cam, having to find another franchise QB.

Well, first of all, nothing is going to happen until/unless Newton is healthy.

The most credible current reports seem to be that Newton is dealing with a lisfranc injury in his foot.

He does not wish to have surgery.

Without surgery, consensus seems to be this is hard injury to return from: " One study claims that in athletes, and if the dislocation is less than 2 mm, the fracture can be managed with casting for six weeks.[13] The person's injured limb cannot bear weight during this period. In the majority of cases early anatomical reduction and stable fixation is indicated.[14] "

Again, no trade could possibly happen until Newton is healthy again.  Given the above, that is unlikely to occur prior to the trade deadline so I am closing this thread as "irrelevant at this time."
