Bongo Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 (edited) Sorry if this was posted somewhere else. Didn’t see it. He had a sack and two tackles for loss. Huh? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/10/09/justin-houston-named-afc-defensive-player-of-the-week/ Edited October 9, 2019 by Bongo Added link
H2o Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Because of the 4th down stop on Williams against his old team basically sealing the game for Indy is my guess. 2
Mike in Horseheads Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Jordan plays for the Bills and has a bad rep. 2 strikes against him 1

That's No Moon Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Because the Colts beat the Chiefs in a road SNF game and neutered their previously unbeatable looking offense. Jordan Phillips had 3 sacks in a game nobody saw. 7 1
Lurker Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Huh? Maybe he deserved it. He was instrumental (i.e., don't just look at stats) in helping his team beat the best offense in football on the road... 1

Jobot Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Bills only get attention if Dildos get thrown. We should all know this by now. 2
brianthomas Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Name recognition, playing on national tv, his impact on shutting down the leagues most potent offense & upsetting the most hyped team right now. All things that probably factored in. 3

Tatonka68 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Jordan is on the Invisible Bills who MSM does not even cover, or believe in. He could have had 7 sacks not would not even be mentioned. Houston played in a prime-time game and beat the undefeated KC Chiefs.

Yeah that and it's just a higher profile game with KC getting whipped. Those awards seem so cheesy anyway, such a popularity contest. If real football analysts dug deep enough, you could have a front 7 defender with zero sacks and just a handful of tackles being the true MVP of the week. Look at Ed's stats vs his contributions as an example. 1
Charles Romes Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 UM, KC has never before been held to under 30?
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 because he doesn't play for the bills? where you been OP, the bills get no respect you should be well used to it by now.
