With him, Harry, and Oliver, we got a bright future on the interior. Who knows, maybe Darryl Johnson becomes a legit end opposit Jerry? I digress, the point is there's no need to look beyond our roster for the present and future at DT What a force yesterday. Wait until the next game. He actually has a beef with the phins
Rigotz Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Not to rain on everyone's parade, but signing Phillips to a long term deal is very risky. https://dolphinswire.usatoday.com/2018/10/02/dt-jordan-phillips-announces-he-has-been-released-by-dolphins/ He has had significant motivational issues and off-field baggage. He has been criticized of taking plays off and being a diva. I love the guy ... but doesn't a lot of this sound familiar?
Bills Survivor Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 I just went to look up what college he attended and his wikipedia page lists his position as: "nose tackle/Taylor Lewans daddy." Cracked me the ***** up.
John from Riverside Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 We have all this cap space.....but I really get this feeling most of it is going to go to re signing our own guys The team has talent now.....in some positions talent AND depth and Beane is kiling it on draft picks Wrap up our current players.....get some offensive playmakers this next draft
Rocket94 Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 We need to have a look at Vincent Taylor as well. Every scouting report on him says upside.
MJS Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 He had one good game. He disappears for long stretches of games. Let's wait till he is consistently performing. 12 hours ago, Big C said: I said it in another thread and I'll say it again: I can't believe we only signed him for the one year. We are going to have to pony up a lot more at this rate. But hey, maybe that's what he and his agent were looking for. He seems fully committed to the city and team and I hope we can keep him around. Because he's been inconsistent his entire career. 1

TheJauronClap Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Ed Oliver and Jordan are at there best when they play together. When i see ed and star oliver is getting the double and star is having issues one on one when jordan is out there ed still doubled be jordan is he beating his one on one battles a lot more
Matt_In_NH Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 They really should lock this guy up...I am not sure about Star, if his job is to just take up space I guess he does that....maybe. Philips is passionate, seems like a keeper to me. Then again maybe he just wants his payday.
Aussie Joe Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) So what does his next contract look like? Speculation here but would $7M a year for three years get it done? Not sure I would want to pay him more but suspect someone else might.. I like him but could see him getting "comfortable" after he signs his multi year deal... Edited November 3, 2019 by Aussie Joe
