What is wrong with Yeldon?

Murphy is a better runner and he can contribute to ST....and he can catch.

And Yeldon can block in the backfield which Murphy can’t.

We have OL/Te that can do that. We are talking about a 3rd string Rb here, it is what it is. I think Murphy is the better option.

Bring back Murphy and get rid of Yeldon.

I like Murphy, but don't really understand the sentiment, unless it's for special teams. Gore and Singletary are quite efficient backs. Yeldon is (when the other two are healthy) mostly a receiving back. Can Murphy replace Yeldon as a quality receiving back? I don't recall that being his strength.

I like him because he is a better shifty type runner and faster. He caught a few passes also if I recall.

I get that, but you have to think about the RB room. Who has what skills. Murphy on the team helps ST for sures. Probably doesn't even play in the backfield unless Gore or Singletary are injured. I'm not saying I'm completely against it. But if I'm going to make a tweak to this roster, RB isn't high on the the list of things that need to be improved, IMO.

I just saw they signed a rb to the practice squad. Byron Marshall who was just released from the Redskins.

The injuries don't concern me that much. Nothing is looking serious at that point. Good timing for the bye week.

Marshall was signed on 9/3 ------see below---takes time to learn the system---they might bring him up soon.

did anyone take note of how ryan bates did? cody ford is getting his ass handed to him and we need to do something there. if nseke is unreliable, that makes it even more so. i saw bates come in but spaced out on concentrating on him. we cannot have a turnstile rt....or ruin a rookie.

other than that i will say i woulda slapped dabol for not going for 3 while at the 30 early on. 4th and 2 and for the 2nd time run a recently concussed qb sneak when a missed fg would have left us in the same spot? stupidity like that is gonna cost us games. wrong thread for that but i'm burnt and lazy. however our room stood up and waved our hands on every titans kick and we were successful!

On that second 4th down, where Josh was stonewalled, I thought they should have either done what they did the previous 4th down and rushed to the line and skipped the huddle OR kick the FG. I figured they were going to fake it the 2nd time. Once again, I was wrong. But with this D I guess he can take a few chances.

Why? Yeldon has done fine outside of the one fumble. Yeldon has actually started and played in the league. Murphy is a 27 year old bouncing around on practice squads, he doesnt block. The only positive Murphy has on yeldon is that he can return punts.

My thoughts exactly. He was good in the pass game today and had a couple of nice carries. What we need is the game breaker and I'm hoping Singletary can get on the field and provide that. More use of McKenzie, Roberts and even Knox with those jet sweeps would be nice too and I love the bootleg Josh had on third down to end it. A little bit of those designed QB runs and some deep threats would help.  I'd love to see Foster take a step up like last year and stretch the field. We've really missed this so far this year.

If Singletary can't play or gets hurt again we need something more at RB. Gore is good for some short yardage and grinding out some minutes at the end of the game but shouldn't be the starting RB.

I did not see any major gaffs, and he was in there when the Bills drove it down the field to seal the win. No play-by-play analysis, but the eye-ball test looked good.

What has Karlos Williams been up to?

Unlike the rest of the league, our RB3 isn't an All Pro!

Marcus Murphy is a better runner. He would be better compliment to Gore and Singletary.

Then why has no one picked him up?

His terrible blocking, less than mediocre receiving skills, and below average running ability just might have something to do with it.

The Duke signing to the active roster is a pre bye week move that I really like.

Now that we are off for week 6, I would really like this offense to fix the rushing attack.

I think Allen could benefit from a better running game and Gore alone can't handle the load.

When SIngletary is healthy it's all good but since then we get a little too much uni dimensional.

When I see Gore gaining 5 yards on 1st down and go to the sideline for 2nd down, it drives me nuts.

Do you tweak or do nothing?

Hey, maybe we could bring up the British bloke on the practice squad, he look good in preseason. ?

Wait for it . . . .

o line needs help and if singletary cant get the hammy right we need a rb.  tight end might be a need honestly

Pretty sure Singletary is good to go. If not, then yes. They need to add an RB.
