Mike in Horseheads Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Good story about Steve Miller from the Washington Post. Still a rebel. https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/music/steve-miller-cracked-the-code-of-1970s-radio-but-hes-still-raging-against-the-music-industry/2019/10/03/094022f8-d891-11e9-ac63-3016711543fe_story.html
Success Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Saw him a few weeks ago. Just a fantastic show. A clinic. 1
row_33 Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 The only star who could tailgate before a concert and fans wouldn’t recognize him

Gr8 show... I think that was the first concert I went to see with my wife! Very memorable... Anyway... Jim Kelly was at "Whiskey Bent" last night... Just hanging out, almost didn't recognize him: (Sorry for the extreme file compression in order to get under site limits) 1

Lurker Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 (edited) Saw him at Artpark two summers ago. I've always been lukewarm to his stuff but he put on a great, tight show that made me reasses that. When I found out later that he was 74, it made it that much more impressive. Seems like band that might be better live than recorded... Edited October 5, 2019 by Lurker
