Big Turk Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 I can't find anything about this...do practice squad players get to stand on the sidelines with the rest of the team on Sunday's or do they have to watch the game from the pressbox or from their house? If they are on the sidelines is it all games or just home games?
EmotionallyUnstable Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 They do. I’ve often seen 3rd string practice squad QBs on the bench throughout the years (or so I think!) 2
r00tabaga Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Yes, Duke was shown visibly frustrated with the Zay interception. 3 5

Over 29 years of fanhood Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 I remember mistaking Gibran Hamdan on the sideline for JPL all the time 1
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 It is rumoured that in D.C., Snyder has Redskins practice squad players selling beer. ? 4 1

Golden Goat Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 We were driving home Sunday from vacation and listening to the game on XM. One of the announcers said, "Gotta love it -- The practice squad players are on their feet, firing up the crowd!" I had the same question and that answered it for me. 1

DBilz2500 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Yes they typically are especially for home games. I was a backup QB on an NFL practice squad for a couple years and I attended all home games. 1 1 1

Played for several teams, Falcons was my longest and most extensive action. It’s a no frills kinda spot on the team unless of course you get called up. Coaches are super hard asses and ride you hard. It’s very stressful and intense lifestyle but def has it perks for obvious reasons. 2 1
