Another Fan Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I may have missed it but one play I didn’t see discussed much on these boards was Steve’s missed field goal from I think around 48 yards in the 1st half. It would up being pretty big as being down only 16-13 I think the Bills elect to tie the game there instead of going for 4th and goal. Last year that kick was automatic for Steve. Didn’t he hit something like 15 straight over 50 yards? Heck I even thought they might try a 60 plus yard FG that play in the 1st quarter after Josh got sacked. We’ve seen him drill it from 60 plus yards. But maybe windy conditions today? The Pats kicker missed that extra point as well

He is not the same as he was two years ago. I'm still baffled that they gave him a 4 year extension. 3
MJS Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 (edited) He hit a lot over 50, but he also missed some less than 50. He missed 3 in the 40-49 range and missed 3 in the 50+ range in 2018. Edited September 30, 2019 by MJS
Boatdrinks Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I’ve got to think that Pat D lineman leaping over the line threw the timing off just a bit. Kick sailed left slightly. A clean kick and I’d guess he makes it. 1
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Huh? He’s missed 1 kick all year— the one today that he barely pushed. (His other “miss” was a Hail Mary 63-yard attempt before the half). Made every extra point too. He looks pretty money to me. 2 1
Utah John Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I think the Bills have some other problems to attend to right now. WR, punter come to mind. 2
CDogg20 Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 If he tries to drive that kick where he wanted it, it would have been blocked, ST was crap today and Hauschka wasn’t the problem
PromoTheRobot Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 (edited) It would have helped if Josh Allen would stop talking sacks on 3rd down. Twice he took us out of FG range. Please teach him how to throw away the ball ala Tom Brady. (I forgot. Brady has a separate rule book.) Edited September 30, 2019 by PromoTheRobot
Chill Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Josh took unnecessary sacks and knocked him out of his range. Still, he should have made it. Too many mistakes...

Hausch was injured by the cheap shot last year and I think it has taken this long for him to start to get his game back. He has been pretty solid, it could be worse we could have the Pat's kicker.
wvbillsfan Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I think he missed that kick because a pats linebacker timed the snap perfectly, jumped over the line and almost blocked the kick.

Which should have been a penalty. The Bills were flagged for that in a preseason game against Carolina 1
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Nothing to see here!! Am I pleased by H's kicking? Partially. Look, no kicker is 100 %. Look around the league. There are MANY more kickers out their losing games because of 3 and 4 missed kicks! It isn't all that bad.

inkman Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Just for my own sanity, is it Haush money or Haus money? As I've only heard it one of those ways from Murph.
apuszczalowski Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Have you looked around the league at kickers????? They Bills are in a good position right now compared to 80-90% of the other teams....
Yobogoya! Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Sack moved him back 5 yards. Pats lineman jumped illegally, no flag. And a lot of fans tend to underestimate how difficult New Era is to kick in. You see good kickers come in and miss on our turf all the time. Lots of players to criticize this week, but Hauschka isn't one of them.

Freddie's Dead Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Hausch Money is solid. If JA doesn't take a dumbass sack, he makes it easily.
Rocbillsfan1 Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I’d love to see the replay of the missed fg and see a response from the nfl on why it wasn’t a penalty. Don’t they have a ref looking exactly for this type of thing?
