For as terrible as it looked, he showed no physical symptoms running to the locker room..

That's the positive. I could have sworn I saw him ask the trainer something along the lines of "where am I?" He looked terrified at the moment. And THEN he ran off the field like everything was good. So we'll see what happens in the next day or so.

Definitely a concussion. He was knocked unconscious. That kind of concussion is extremely violent & if I’m the Bills I’d give him next week off to recover.

If it's mild. Could be out for awhile.

It would be hard to believe that he does not end up in concussion protocol, but his behavior, jogging to the locker room makes me suspect it will be a quick recovery.

Got the cobwebs cleared

Thats called a concussion, friend. Likewise getting his bell rung.

But he might clear protocol very fast... or be there awhile. Hard injury to predict.

He was knocked out cold.

If he was knocked out cold he would have fumbled that ball. You lose control of all physical functions including holding onto a football.

My hunch is that he's not playing next week. When you see an apparent concussion that violent, you have to put football to the side momentarily and consider the kid's long term well being.

I hope he doesn’t miss time, but this isn’t the worst time for it to happen. Barkley with a week to prepare gives us a good chance vs the Titians, and then the bye. I’d rather have Miami next week, but It’s not the end of the world. Just don’t love that it happened.

Imagine just for a second if we had done that to the GOAT. National effing News would be all over us. Will the NFL assess a fine at least?

They’ll probably fine him the minimum and give him a 1 game suspension.  If we did that to Brady it would be the maximum fine and 3 or 4 games.

I don't think he was out cold...

You could see him make sure to get 2 hands on the ball on the way down

Exactly this

he got his bell rung for sure

but he wasn’t incoherent (Trent Edwards)

That probably won't be the case tomorrow

That’s not really an indicator of how severe a concussion might be. It could still be pretty significant despite his dash into the stadium.

Josh will get a week or two vacation here to think about this one.  Hopefully he'll learn, but I kind of think this is what you get.  It's sad, but you rarely see a QB progress much any more.

What if he's healthy? Recover from what?
