thenorthremembers Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 I'd say this is a smart move, but the owner is as much to blame for this as anyone else. They need to get a real GM again and start building their team. Hopefully Marone and Shurmur wont be long after.

It sure seems like it was leaked by someone with no knowledge of how an NFL team prepares. When they decide it is time to start Haskins then they will do everything to try and get him ready at that time. Anything prior to that takes away from game planning for the rest of the team. That team is a mess!!! 1 1
ghostwriter Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 It is still very peculiar to me that Haskins has not only not gotten a shot with the first string offense, but is running with the scout team.
RobbRiddick Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 It's funny when you think of what a powerhouse the Redskins were at times back in the 80s and 90s. Since Dan took over they've just been consistently terrible
MJS Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 How does he even still have a job in Washington? That's what I'm confused about.

RB on the team Chris Thompson says that’s normal, then Brian Mitchell fires back and says it’s not
WhoTom Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Never let the owner decide which QB to start. 1 1 1
Augie Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 (edited) I’ll take a moment here to mention once again how much I love the Pegulas. A LOT! . Edited September 28, 2019 by Augie 6 1 1 1
Royale with Cheese Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 I would love to see Haskins dad’s take over for AB as far as non-Bill popularity. AB has cooled down...step up Father Haskins. 1 2

stony Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Such a surprise Snyder wants to rush an unready rookie to play the most difficult position in all of pro sports. So surprising. 1 1
wppete Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Haskins won’t last in the NFL. He’s the next EJ Manuel. Gruden will be fired before the end of the season for sure..... 2
Kirby Jackson Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 So, if he beats one of the worst teams in the NFL he’s safe? This game is enough to overlook everything since 2014? Nice organization... He stinks 1

The back-ups are expected to listen and pay attention in case they are needed for emergency work, but they should get very little work in the offense unless they are needed. It is a huge mental preparation time for back-up QBs.
whorlnut Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 I honestly thought Gruden would get fired after The last game. Keenum looked like crap and the team has been mediocre for too long. At 0-3, I think their season is done and they are staring a top 5 pick square in the eye. Fire Gruden and let Haskins start to see what you have. This is a good year to need a qb with Tua, Herbert, and Fromm, so the more you know about your current qbs the better.
