The Chiefs would go to the top of the power rankings.  New England would stay in the top five, and pundits will start talking about New England gaining revenge later in the season.  Buffalo will move up and might make the top five in some power rankings.  They should make top 10 in ESPN's.

I think USA Today might even throw us a bone and give us back the #10 spot!  They only dropped us 2 spots for beating the Bengals after all.

My friends and I were talking about this yesterday.

Will this ever happen again?  And would this game be the one that does it?  If this were December and the Bills clinched the Division with a win, would fans storm the field?  Is it impossible to happen in 2019?

I was at the game when we beat them in 2011, tunnel end zone 6 rows up. The team was fully expecting the fans to go after the goal posts if we won. As soon as it looked like we might have a chance in the 4th quarter, they stationed groundskeepers at the goal posts with the equipment to take them down, and they had them down as soon as the kick went through. So while fans may storm the field again, I don’t think the goal posts are coming down, at least not at the hands of the fans.

If the season ended this coming Monday and we lost to the Pats, Buffalo would have a wildcard spot

If Buffalo wins, we would be alone atop the AFC East and Fandamoniem will ensue. 4-0 in the AFC and 2-0 in the division. How dreamy that would be. Also Buffalo would be among one of the last undefeated teams in the AFC with KC the only other possible

Don't know what will happen, but a fella can dream....

How did this get 4 pages...guess I helped by replying. But seriously - what if the season ended after 4 games? If season ended now the Bills get the division and based on strength of victory tie breaker vs the Pats. Chiefs get top seed and Bills #2 and playoff bye. Woohoooo. Lets petition for ending the season after three weeks.

The Buffalo Bills will receive small Kudos on page 3 ESPN. Mostly how lucky Buffalo were....

...

Yep.

The story line would be how NE played an uncharacteristically bad game, and gave it away, not that the Bills won.

I would not care what the media said, would just bask in the afterglow of a rare NE defeat.

The rational person in me now says as awesome/wonderful as that'd be, there's still 12 games to play afterwards.  I still recall 2011 the win in Week 3 where I thought we were a shoe in for the playoffs.

But in the heat of the moment if they win, all bets are off!

The stadium will go absoluely bonkers, the goalposts might come down, it will signal that the Bills have arrived as an up and coming team that is going to start making noise in the division and it will signal the Patriots stranglehold on the division will have a serious challenger in the years to come...

If we win the fanbase will be ecstatic. The media will find a narrative of excuses as to how the Patriots lost the game, not the Bills winning it. They still will say they're not sold on Josh Allen as a franchise QB. We move up to 10 in the power rankings wile the Pats will still be at 2 or 3.
