...#6 and #9 are NOT realistic IMO.......lose to the Pats at home and they drop to #18 and #21 with a bevy of urinalists' sniveling reasons (COUGH).....I'd say #12+ is far more reasonable at this juncture, if it even matters....

I think they started the season at 22, so yes, big recognition after Game 3. Lose Sunday and we’ll be kicked back down past 10.

I think that if the Bills play NE tough, even if they lose a close game, they'll gain more respect.  I don't think that they would  move up in that scenario but they probably wouldn't drop very far if at all.    With power rankings, who a team plays and how it plays count for more than simply whether they win or lose.

1) No it doesn,t you arbitrarily made that up

2) Not my power rankings, ESPN had them at 30, that is one of the worst then  even qualifies under your new definition.

Sorry, I believe ESPN is a more credible source than BigPappy

On #1. Yes, absolutely right, I arbitrarily made that number up, but only becaise it makes sense.

on #2. Everyone on this board knows that ESPN is a joke. My deceased grandmother could power rank the teams better than ESPN.

I am by no means an expert and It is your prerogative to believe ESPN if you wish. On this page however, most would probably say that you lose any credibility as a football fan to go by anything they have to say.

You realize that ESPN has a lot of employs and they all have their own opinions. There is no "ESPN opinion" like many on this board like to believe. Trash a commentator for their views or lack of ability to back up said views, but just labeling it trash because they are employed by ESPN makes very little sense.

All 7 pick NE*

CBS have really taken to us. Well, a lot of them anyway. Even though Prisco has been high on us, fully expected both him and Brinson to pick NE.

Which is nice.

Well, it turns out he was just covering the spread not picking us to win.

I'm an idiot.

Of course I realize that, but maybe i should clarify that I am referring to the staff the handle the NFL football aspect. It's a generalized statement regarding ESPN commentators and writers. There are many on this board that feel the same way regarding ESPN's staff as a whole that they in general have no idea what they are talking about, get facts completely wrong, and many times get players names wrong or can't name the right team they play for. I have seen countless ESPN opinions posted here that had absolutely no bases in fact. They are entitled to their opinions just as anyone is, but when your opinion is based on non facts you lose your credibility. So, that said.... for right or wrong, i stick by my generalized statement regarding ESPN.  When it comes to reporting on the NFL, they are a bunch of bleeping morons.

Despite the loss the Bills are garnering respect. Mostly for the defense.

with headlines like - NE barely escapes from Buffalo -  yeah people are noticing.

being a close game like it was, is making the doubters doubt their doubt

Buffalo 11

Previous rank: No. 6

A disappointing performance by Josh Allen, and not because he exited in the second half with a head injury. Allen had shown undeniable growth as a quarterback during the Bills' 3-0 start, but the 2018 first-round pick wasn't quite up for the moment against a powerhouse Patriots defense. In the 16-10 loss to New England, Allen threw three interceptions, missed open receivers and generally looked a lot like the Bad Josh Allen that Bills fans hoped had been left behind last year. It's a shame, too, because Buffalo's defense showed (again) that it is one of the very best units in football. Ask Tom Brady, who looked completely out of sorts in leading the Pats offense to 224 yards of total offense. Bills safety Micah Hyde on the hit that ended Allen's day: "If one of us did that to 12 (Brady), we wouldn't have been in that game anymore. There's no way."

9 Bills  v 3

They have to be better on offense than they were against the Patriots. Josh Allen has to throw it better.

i cant disagree with any of these rankings. until the offense shows they can score against a legit defense i think we are anywhere from 10-15 sort of team. right there in the hunt.

yeah, 6 to 10 is fair based on the Offensive turnovers we've seen

Still,  the 7th or 9th best Offense in total yards should keep it above 10  imo
