That "player gave himself up" call for White at the end

 If you were at the game, was there a whistle blowing the play dead?  I didn't notice one on TV.  (I could've just missed it.)

Not only did the whistle blow but the refs signaled the play dead. Plays like this happen all the time.

Yea this is very dumb.  That play is clearly dead, is always called dead, and has never not been called dead.

His perception is irrelevant.  It was a stupid play by the entire D.  Would have been a unusual call to say the least, but they happen.  Lucky.

Of course Tre should have stayed down. And his teammate who were slapping him while he was down should have been telling him to stay down.

 

But that’s a completely different issue than the Cincy coach being clueless when he was yelling for a safety.

Official was marking the ball 5 feet away from White, while blowing whistle and making stop-time motion with his arms (waving over head, crossing). Then White got up.

It was okay as long as the play was blown dead, which it was.

McD does need to talk to Tre. tre needs to be a bit more aware. We dont need a McKelvin to happen at a critical time this year.

If the whistle blew and the refs were acting like the play was over, at some point he does have to get up.

White went into the endzone because he knew the play was over.  It's a non-issue.
