What’s the relevance of the other 5 Bills teams that started 2-0 and missed the playoffs? Any of those players or coaches still on the team?

Why do Bills fans get all worked up over this sort of thing?

Let the team prove everyone wrong, and enjoy the ride.

Lazy take. Easy target. No doubt the Bills haters (sorry....realists) here will jump to his defense.  But he is all in on those awesome Patriots. Stomping the Dolphins is proof.

He was wrong by a long shot while talking about Allen’s inaccuracies. But most of that isn’t wrong. We played 2 teams that are bottom of the league right now and probably won’t change throughout the year. Their coaches and teams aren’t very good. We should have beat them. We did. Great. Let’s not get crazy about anything yet.

The terrible thing is, if we win this week and go 3-0 we will still hear this for the most part. People will be saying the Bengals aren’t any good either. And you can not argue with facts. They will be 0-3. Of course, then we’ll go up against the Pats and probably lose like we always do. Then the talk will come back down, and media will say... see, we said it all along, the Bills haven’t beaten anyone yet and it’s no shock they lost against the Pats.

Obviously the author is one of those guys who didn't like Allen coming out of Wyoming, doesn't watch Allen play in Bills games and thinks if he calls Josh inconsistent he will have credibility with people as ignorant of the Bills current team as he is.

Ok this dweeb is a SoCal native by birth and USC Grad.  How many actual non-Patriot AFC games has he ever watched.  And a USA today editor to boot.  My dog knows more about the NFL than this so-called expert.

Probably the one who gave Darnold mono too.

F this guy.

Literally the only 2-0 team he took a crap on.  And when you read his reasoning, you can see he hasn’t actually paid attention to this seasons games.  It’s your basic generalist BS

Thats fine. Keep feeding into that no respect mantra uniting the team.... Sean is serving it up on a platter to the team repeatedly

@Virgil has the "syndrome" unlike anyone around here.......until we win regularly, he's allowed to shake in the corner.

I give you the "journalist" responsible for these insights...

Note how he scored 1 like and 3 retweets on his last attempt to influence...

One of the reasons I felt confident betting the various over win totals that were available at the casino was because we have a pretty easy schedule.  We have some pretty lousy teams yet to come: Cincinnati, Miami (2X), Denver, Washington & possibly Pittsburgh.  That's 5-6 extra wins that should be added to the 1st 2 before we even get to some of the games that we're about 50-50 to win.  This is a 9-10 win team at worst.

Yeah that's some drive by journalism right there.  It's also what happens when blogging has devalued journalism, even in sports reporting.

Personally, I don't think we need to start a new thread every time a national media guy has something good or bad to say about the Bills.  Maybe others think differently.  But I only want to see new threads based on national media if they offer something new and/or insightful.

As Virg said, this is "basic generalist BS" - and thus doesn't interest me.  The Bills will have detractors until they start beating quality teams with some consistency.  Who cares?

The Bills have had a good D since last year.  It remains to be seen if the O is any good.  As a fan who has watched this team closely, I'm encouraged by the signs of progress.  Allen looks better.  The OL looks better.  The receiving corps looks better.  Singletary might be good.  But, although I'm more optimistic than he is, Middlehurst-Schwartz is correct when he observes that the sample size is still small.   All we can do is keeping watching games, hope for the best, and cheer our team on!
