He also said variations of this about 100 times, "Gotta do mah 1 11." He also wants to bring his horses up from Texas, they calm him down. Since he weighs almost 3 times the normal jockey, he must ride a big ass horse. Great interview. 1

Happy Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Admittedly, I was a little skeptical of Ed Oliver, but he's really growing on me. Great pick who is starting to live up to the hype surrounding him last April. Also seems to have a great attitude and work ethic.

Da webster guy Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Rookie linemen on both sides of the ball take awhile to get rolling. Ed is way ahead of Cody at this point. The thing about Ed that's surprised me is his power. In college it seemed his strength was how quickly he fired out of his stance and split defenders, which really is his main objective as the 3 tech here, but he's shown way more power and bullrush for a guy giving up 40-50 lbs to the guard blocking him than I expected. Pro qb's are way better at cadence and fooling dLines with their hard counts etc. than in college. When Ed gets better at timing snaps he's going to really shine. What a perfect pick for this team on and off the field. 3

You have to pretty darn strong to dominate a position usually played by athletes 20-30 pounds heavier.

Expand Sometimes I feel like I'm just scouting Ed Oliver and not watching the game. Anyone know how's he grading so far? I think Harrison Phillips is playing better football.
