..so this is HIS number to play the game?......should we bring 'em in??........SMH..........

A report from the Associated Press out Thursday says former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was approached in the past about playing in the Alliance of American Football but countered by saying he wanted at least $20 million to consider playing in the recently-formed league.

Kap doesn't want to play in the NFL. But he won't come out and say it because it looks good for his "movement." If he doesn't sign a contract to be a backup then he looks like the victim and it keeps his "movement" going.

...didn't Elway offer him 2 year, $14 mil or something like that (don't know the guarantee part though)?....if you realistically want "back in", have to start somewhere.....Incognito was blackballed (OBVIOUSLY) after the Miami debacle......yet OBD rolled the dice and Overdorf crafted a "pay as you go" contract.....he was paid per game....eff up and you're gone with no cap hits.....play nice and there are nice incentives for you after game 16...he did and cashed.....

Kaepernick is better than alot of Qb's currently in the NFL...its purely political people have to stop pretending like he isn't an nfl qb..hes not elite..but hes better than the likes of fitz

or trevor simeon and its not even close..i dont get into politics but and all that all i care about is if a player can play.

go watch any of his games from the 49ers like the playoff game vs green bay which the nfl uploaded to youtube and tell me hes not an nfl qb

Huh?  Panthers signed Eric Reid and it has not been a distraction and he Sued the NFL with Kap.  And Eric Reid is STILL kneeling.  Sorry, this just isnt accurate.  Again, nobody cares anymore...the only reason it got as big as it did is because Trump relentlessly trolled this issue for his own personal boost at the time.  Trump does not even know the words to the National Anthem, literally, and only dwelled on it because Trump said it was the only thing he got a boost from at that time.

Trump isn't tweeting about it anymore and now no one cares that the guy who sued the NFL with Kap is signed, playing, and still kneeling for the Panthers.

The outrage was stupid when it happened, it was manufactured and manipulated to mean something it wasn't for political reasons, and now its back to no one even cares.  If anyone here still was so outraged by it, then they should be ranting and raving about Reid not Kap.

Eric Reid is an unknown to 99% of people watching football.  It may because of selective media coverage, but no one gives a damn about what Eric Reid does.  I'm not saying it's right.. but it also strengthens your point about how stupid the outrage was.

more evidence of collusion

I don't necessarily think it is collusion (could be) but why invite the media circus?  Teams don't want the distractions.  I think it is as simple as that.
