So the Democrats are desperate to 'expose' the tax returns of a US Citizen, who's been under the annual scrutiny on his personal finances by a federal agency like the IRS....even years before he considered running for office....but they have less than zero interest in learning how a sitting Vice President was leveraging US Taxpayers dollars for his own personal benefit?  Nice!

Yup, you just can't fix stupid! Liberals are the most ignorant people around!

President Donald Trump has reneged on a pledge to release his tax returns after an IRS audit, confirming what many have long suspected: that the real obstacle to disclosure is Trump himself.

"I'm under a routine audit, and it'll be released, and as soon as the audit is finished it will be released," Trump said at the first presidential debate in September.

Hope Hicks, White House director of strategic communication: "Once the audit is over."

Isn’t the “prosecutor” in this case the same guy who took money from Harvey Weinstein while at the same time declined to prosecute him?

Swamp indeed

Another quick reminder:

Tax Returns are already submitted and reviewed by the IRS.

People do NOT fill them with illegal entries.

This is just (another) attempt to try and embarrass the President.

Please resume your spin.

Considering 45 is the most vetted president in modern US history, we do.

Tell us more please.  And which line/schedule of his tax return will show this and if so why did his audit not show it?

You might want to take a better swing at being clear with your statement.

I was pretty clearly agreeing with your comment.

45 is without a doubt the most vetted president in history. If there was financial fukkery afoot, it would have come out long ago during any of the multi-agency investigations into him, his family, and his administration.

Those clinging to his tax returns being some sort of smoking gun are not tethered to reality.

Got it.

OK, I've been hired by CNN to write an article.  They've paid me handsomely.  It'll go live on their site overnight.  Here it is:

Trump's Tax Returns, We've Got "Em!

In a stunning disclosure Donald Trump's tax returns were made available to an anonymous third party who reviewed them earlier today.  The returns cover the tax years 2015 - 2017 an amass more than 4,000 pages for each tax year.  According to the source, Trump's personal income derived from his various real estate, hospitality and entertainment businesses averaged over $300,000,000 each year over the three year stretch.  It's quite apparent now why Trump has refused to provide this information, which is customarily provided by Presidents and Presidential candidates.  Trump's average Federal tax rate paid on his gawdy income is only 17.8%.  That's similar to Mitt Romney who was exposed during the 2012 campaign.  It's also less than is paid by Warren Buffet's secretary. For comparison sake that's a similar tax burden to a single filer making about $50,000 per year.  Never mind that Trump paid over $175 million in Federal taxes over the period.  How you might ask is this possible?  How is this just?  How could a sitting President hide this from his country?  Well, Trump who employs a team of tax experts that occupy an entire floor of his Trump Tower HQ in New York used a variety of loopholes and tax tricks that only benefit the wealthy.  For example, he has loss carry forward entries from several failing real estate investments that reduced his taxable income.  He also used 1031 exchanges to mask profits from the sale of some properties while investing in others. Additionally said the source, there are gargantuan depreciation expenses which usually favor the rich.  Also found were egregious expense deductions for cadillac health insurance policies for employees, millions in private jet expenses and various "meetings" held at Mar-A-Lago.  Trump's children continue to hide their tax returns, but it's fair to assume that they too have earned incomes putting them into the top 1% and have paid lower tax rate rates than main streeters all across the country.

The source explained that the returns also show a variety or expenses and revenues which could be related to Russia.  There is nothing in the return documents that rule out this possibility.  This is very troubling given the widely reported Russian influence in the 2016 election cycle.  One has to wonder had Trump disclosed his taxes in early 2016 when the public was clamoring for them might Hillary have won?  Instead our country has elected a man who hid his taxes, signed new tax laws that benefit him personally to the tune of millions of dollars a year, and has continued to earn outrageous sums of money while failing to lead the country effectively.

We reached out to Hillary Clinton for comment and she stated "This revelation while not unexpected is further evidence of Trump using every trick in the book and some not in the book for personal financial gain and he's done so on the backs of every day Americans and immigrants".  "If this isn't grounds for a 2nd impeachment, then I don't know what is."

Our calls to the Trump organization for comment were not immediately returned.

Happy Now?

I, for one, hope they are eventually released. I cannot wait until all the twitter constitutional scholars on the left suddenly become twitter tax experts as well.

This is why it is important to keep his tax returns private. People who don't know schitt from shinola will try to analyze things and they will be wrong. They will easily confuse assessed value with appraised value and gross vs. net.

Hoax.

This is great news...

If Trump was a criminal tax cheat, the IRS would have crushed him by now...

Also, we can sue in state courts for the financial records of our federal representatives...

Representatives and senators are likely to have to lawyer up sooner than later themselves...

Boomerangs baby...

Boomerangs...

People are silly. Trump shouldn't have to answer to anyone. He is perfect. He told us that, so how can it not be true?
