PromoTheRobot Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Not after he saw a REAL NFL starting QB. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001055736/article/shurmur-noncommittal-on-starting-manning-in-week-3 1 3
aristocrat Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 well that article about our defense breaking him may have come true 3 1
BrotherChazz Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I think Daniel Jones has a chance to be a starter. 2 9
mushypeaches Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Whatever Jones turns out to be, I'm grateful that we got them with Eli starting 1
Royale with Cheese Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 So we ended the careers of Brett Farve and possibly Eli Manning? No one circles the wagons....! 1

MDH Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I don't know why they'd rush Jones. They've actually done a good job of building an offense that could support a young QB. Solid OL, great RB and TE, if they wait a few weeks they'd also have serviceable WRs to support him in Tate and Shepard. Their D is in shambles but you don't get a much better O to be put into when you're drafted top 10 as a QB. 1
H2o Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 He's non-committal on Manning because the Giants may be non-committal on his job if he keeps losing.
Big C Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Shurmur's situation is unfortunate, but I don't think it's his fault. The Mara's don't want him to play Jones, but if he doesn't he may lose his job anyway because they aren't winning games.
Patrick Duffy Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I personally don't think it will change anything. If they are going to put that kid in, at least do it when you get some of your WR's back to get him the most help as possible. Otherwise you may as well just keep Eli in IMO.

WhoTom Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 During the halftime show, the guys in the studio were discussing whether the Giants should let Jones play the second half. Boomer said not to put him in against the Bills D, because it's like throwing him to the wolves. He said they should put him in when he actually stands a chance. I love our defense. ?

If he doesn't find a way to get the ball to Barkley he'll be out. Don't know why you can't split him out as a wr to try. Something. Oh well, it's nice for it to be someone else"s concern.
ghostwriter Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 What’s wrong coach Sherbet? Did Allen eat your lunch—eh—ice cream?

PlayoffsPlease Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Personally I think the Giants should wait until Eli benches himself. If I was a Giants fan, I would feel as though he earned that right. 1
