Nowhere in your post does it suggest that other veteran kickers are "talked to" or that the game might have changed enough that today's players realize the value of a good kicker. So I reread your post and still think my response is valid. But I'm not here to argue with you. I just think comments like "players don't talk to kickers" is an antiquated view of the relationship among players, these days. In other words, it's a stereotype and one that's a bit outdated. IMO of course.
