RiotAct Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Anyone seen a highlight of that yet? If so, please post it up here so I can watch it 100 times in a row. What a tremendous play. Turned what looked like it was going to be a 1st-and-10 in our territory into a 4th-down situation for the Giants... at a crucial juncture in the game. 18 3 1

That saved three and maybe seven points. Terrific play. We are really fortunate to have those two safeties. Poyer is getting very good. 5
TroutDog Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Glad you brought this up: absolute turning point. Bills D is for real and the O is not far behind! They also saved teams from that punt return. Great to see so early in the season.

It's hard to do that these days with all the rules protecting the WRs from contact. 1
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 And even more importantly of note in today's NFL, a perfectly clean hit. Hyde showing how you do it. 5
Buffalo716 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 (edited) Perfect way to play Tampa 2 with a clean bone jarring hit! Textbook Edited September 16, 2019 by Buffalo716 1
Buffarukus Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 cant aim for the head? pretend the ball is his head and knock it clean off lol. great job! poyer making the recievers envy his ball tracking. big time combo on the back end!
Special K Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 "Separate the man from the ball." Done perfectly by Hyde, and most importantly, it was a legal hit. As for Poyer, his helmet to helmet hit later in the game could have been flagged, but I'm sure he will be seeing a fine later in the week for that one.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 That’s the kind of play that NE safeties have been making for years against us. Gives me hope!
Fixxxer Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 I gave Hyde a gameball for that hit alone. Great play.

First of all, he did not lead with the crown of his helmet. The helmet to helmet contact was incidental. It happens in a contact sport. After watching the re-play, it is pretty clear that he simply lowered his shoulder. I will be shocked if he is fined. 1
JerseyBills Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 We got talent EVERYWHERE. Love Hyde , phenomenal play!! Not only talent but disciplined , composed and Team players. 1
WhoTom Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 His agent will have that hit on a highlight reel when his contract negotiation comes up. 1
Freddie's Dead Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 If they still did "JACKED HIM UP", that would be #1. What a ridiculously vicious, legal hit.

BuffaloBill Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Ouch that hit hurts just seeing it.... 1
DrDawkinstein Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Great hit and Great play! Killed that drive, missed the FG, and kept the momentum in our favor. HUGE play! And best part: It was a clean hit. Proving that you can have effective, big hits without going high or leading with the helmet. 1
AmishRifle Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Nasty! I think that WR has some broken ribs and a punctured lung. Wow!
Virgil Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 He hit him so hard, Hyde’s girl got instantly pregnant 2
