I spelled out why I disagree on the "fair comment" bit over in the Bills at Giants thread:

QBs simply don’t fit draft categories. A top ten back or TE or LT you expect to be a starter. A top ten QB is a coin flip, maybe.

Allen was a raw unpolished guy and his range of draft discussions went from “won’t be the guy” to “has all the tools and could be the guy”

for him to say he was in the latter category is darn near a compliment.

Eli passed for 306 yards, and a TD against Dallas.

He may be done, but only on one side. Sticking a fork into him is premature.

Sticking a fork into the opposing QB, any QB, is probably a violation of Obscure NFL Rules and might result in penalties or ejection.

We shouldn't take any team lightly, but just a note that Eli had about 4 >300 yd passing games last season - all losses.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the majority of his 306 passing yds vs Dallas were accumulated when the game was out of reach in the late 3rd and 4th Q
