We had a lot of Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck playing in the  house. Frank Sinatra as well. I fell in love with those Crown Royal bags too.

Dad had Sinatra albums, Mom refused to have them played

 

no Miles, Ramsey Lewis was as out there as that got

Check out the band Thievery Corporation if you already haven't. They fall under the genre down tempo. They remix a lot of past works, including Herb Alpert. It is called "Re Whipped"
