Hardy Pyle Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I did Italy in 2003 and Peru in 2004. Looking for a nice destination for 2005. What are others doing?
John from Riverside Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 We did a carnival cruise last year and my wife got hooked on it..... Looks like we will do another one this year.....
CajunBillsBacker Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 We usually just go camping complete with boating and fishing every other weekend during the Summer. We are planning a carnival cruise through the Western Carribean in November, after Hurricane season.
Astrobot Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 We're going to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic the second week in June. It's an all-inclusive--There are no hidden fees, and included is the air, hotel, food, alcohol, tips, transfers, taxes and insurance. Nothing left to buy. Alcohol is included. Another wonderful place to go is the Riviera Maya, south of Cancun. Beautiful properties. And --did I mention?--alcohol is included.
BF_in_Indiana Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I was thinking about checking out hell, but I hear it's a little too hot this time of year.
mcjeff215 Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I'm sorry.. pointless reply... but jesus... Ron Mexico? LOL.. that' some funny stuff. I laugh about it every time I think about it. Ron Mexico... LOL. Sounds like a porn name.

richjk21 Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 We are going on Sabbatical this summer. One of the nice benefits of my job.... every 7 years you get an 8 week paid sabbatical, which can be combined with your regular vacation. We're tacking one week on the end. And we're doing a huge loop around the country, including stops at the Grand Canyon, San Antonio Texas, Florida, NC, Williamsburg Va., Washington DC, almost three weeks in Buffalo in July/August, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and Glacier natl park. T minus 80 days and counting!!!!

This summer will be low-key for us, we're planning on heading down to the Outer Banks (Ocracoke Island).

Simon Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 About mid-June, we'll head out to camp and pound margaritas while floating/boating on the river until early July. Then we're heading down to the Smokies in TN/NC where I'll switch to Ginger and Windsor's for a couple weeks in mid-July. Then in August we're heading over to Hawaii so I can spend some time climbing on volcanoes and hiking in verdant valleys. Then I'll head back out to camp, tie some 8lb test to my big toe and lounge on the dock and rest my bones along the quiet of the river 'til football practice starts. Then I'll go get the hell beat out of me every few days for the next 3 months. Ahhhhhh, the life of a Western Pennsyltucky country boy.....
todd Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Why go on vacation in the summer? 297966[/snapback] I agree. We go south in the winter. Makes it a bit more bearable. And allows me to appreciate snow. Anyway, we're taking a week off and just staying home. During that time I hope to: 1. Fly my RC airplanes 2. Play golf all the time. 3. Garden.
