He called into WFAN to tell them how he took the red eye from Salt Lake to try and get a try out. He was hitting them from 60 on YT, and has a long of 57 in a game.

Ha great story.  Not that I want Jets to get better, but I think it would be pretty cool story if he got a tryout and was signed.  

 

Kind of like how Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi lied to get a tryout with Browns and made their training camp and had a Wade like debut returning a kick for a TD in his first NFL touch.

The actual truth is that the Jets have nothing to lose in giving him a tryout. They can’t go into week 2 with Vedvik. They lost all confidence in the guy and he earned a trip to the unemployment office.
