It's almost as if they got rid of their out-of-touch PoS OL coach and replaced him with someone who demands aggression and replaced the nonsense/weak players like Bodine and DuCasse with actual pro players.

Speaking of - how did Bodine do last night?  Did he even play?

Patriots cut him the other day, I don't think anyone has picked him up yet.

Fixing the o-line was priority #1A for Beane.  It looked fixed.  Nice pocket most plays, some nasty finishes, athletic movement on outside runs.  The whiff by Dawkins may have been because he was gassed by the pace and number of plays.  That is a thing for 300+ lb. players.  The penalties were nearly nonexistant.  The Jets o-line did not give Darnold the same benefit and it showed.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Ford moving forward. He might actually be riding the pine (not the worst thing in the world right now).

Ford started at RT, but didn't have the best couple of series and he was benched for Ty, then they started rotating series. But Ty got the entire 4th quarter I think.

Feliciano is a stud, he needs to start at RG, period.

Dawkins, Spain, Morse and Feliciano look to be pretty set, and played pretty damn good against a great d-line in week 1. Ford/Ty will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

I said the same thing in a thread before the season started. If he sits, that means we are talented and deep enough to bring him along slow and not rush him. If we HAD to play him due to a lack of good options, I would be concerned. Right now, if he plays it's because he's one of the top 5.

How many offensive holdings did we have? I remember one on Feliciano... was that it?

It was the first real game this line has played together, with a center who hadn't really played with them at all, and they looked like a solid, middle-of-the-pack NFL unit. In their first game! I fully expect them to be a dominant unit before much longer.

The RT rotation was predetermined.

The Bills had 7 penalties for 55 yards.  Off the top of my head:

Feliciano false start

Feliciano PF taunting

Morse ineligible downfield

Hughes offside

Hughes illegal use of hands

Another OL false start (Nsekhe?)

Phillips PF hit QB at knees

No offensive holding penalties -- two 15-yarders and the rest 5-yarders.

I love how this guys pull, specially Morse and Feliciano.

Pass pro was very good considering they were playing one tough D line.

McDermott said it in his post-game press conference. It was on twitter too, but it would be kind of pain to scroll through for it...

“That was planned,” McDermott said. “We had planned, like I said during the week. I wanted to be able to give Cody (Ford) a little bit of a break in there just to take a look at things, talk to him on the sideline, give him a chance to watch. So that was scripted out. Wasn’t what Cody did or didn’t do. I thought, in fact, he played well at times in there. Good to have guys that can step in and play, and guys that maybe weren’t the starters that were prepared to play. And I think that goes a long way in terms of winning games as well.”

Ah it was the false start I was thinking of. Thanks eball. So two false starts and an ineligible downfield in terms of penalties on the oline play (taunting comes under general discipline for me). Seems a step over last year.

To be fair, he may just be covering for Ford. But going into the week, they hinted at a rotation.  It sort of fits.

CBS did not give good coverage on the play but I think the Feliciano false start was on Morse.  It looked like Josh wanted the ball and the rest of the offense was ready to go but Morse forgot the snap count.   The penalty on Philips was not covered well either but he was likely tripped or pushed into a stumbling, low hit.

The quarterback sweep was a thing of beauty.

That was sexy.  Last year the line would've been blown up and Josh would have to turbo boost his super human athleticism to get the first.   Yesterday it was a lazy jog in the park for 10 yards.
