I didn't post anything in the GDT, but I sure as heck said a lot to my TV before turning it off and leaving the house. The turnovers just drove me nuts, especially the one that got called back to the unrelated defensive holding penalty. How can you let a safety bait you into that throw? I'm still mad about it. FWIW, I dislike social media and message board hot takes because Internet culture doesn't allow you to walk back anything. That's what this thread is for. Your irrationality is forgiven, go in peace. 1 6

I'm not sure yet I'll do a Mea Culpa for that. I thought that our D would get run down and fold in the 4th Q. I was wrong. Mea Culpa. 1
dollars 2 donuts Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 (edited) No mea culpa, no mea culpa, and then a mea culpa. My brother-in-law and I both agreed that down 16-0 if they scored something on this drive, anything, then they would have a chance. They did, 16-3. Down 16-3 I then said they would come back and take the lead, 17-16, late in the game...no mea culpa there. However, immediately afterwards I also said that the jets would burn away the rest of the clock after we took the lead, get in to field goal range and then kick a field goal for the 19-17 win. Thank you, new Buffalo Bills, for proving me wrong! Edited September 9, 2019 by dollars 2 donuts 1 1 3

Roger that. For clarification purposes that applies even when someone poo poos Mr. Winslow’s thread publicly?

Albany,n.y. Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 I regret that I didn't go to the casino Saturday night & bet what I wanted to: Bills on the money line & the under. When it was 16-0 I was feeling good for not betting the game in a game I thought was too close to call, but disappointed that I didn't bet the under. My plan all along was to save my $ for an easier game week 2 vs NYG, since the preseason lines had the Giants -1.5 (I don't think I could have bet that). When I saw Bills at less than a field goal vs the Giants (current line Bills -2.5) I rushed over to the casino, 22 miles from home & got the bet in on the Bills this morning.

Beast Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 I called Allen Josh Peterman yesterday in the first half.

Mosely goes out, Bills come back. Next time he should give Mosely the old "Longest Yard" on the first series next game. As hard as Allen throws the ball, CJ may retire.
Buddy Hix Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 My GDT mea culpa would be calling Daboll a joke after the consecutive QB sneaks. I still think those calls are simply horrible decisions and question the lack of early touches for Singletary/Gore but I definitely overreacted. I still don't think calling for Barkley was an overreaction. Allen moved the ball well early but had some bad luck and ball security issues. The hero ball throw was bad and came when I felt the team still had an outside chance at coming back because the D was so good and I wanted the best option in at QB to go after the win. In hindsight I am glad that Allen bounced back from a very tough outing and finished really strong but calling for Barkley doesn't seem like an error to me.

You are forgiven for calling Daboll a joke on a day where he had a good game plan in place. However, your unrepentant attitude on putting Barkley in the game leads me to believe that you're recalcitrant. We'll have to consider that for future forgiveness. 1 1
JoshAllenHasBigHands Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 After this game, and Cover1 and Sal's explanations on twitter, I feel like there needs to be a big DiMarco mea culpa
entropyrules Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 After that awful deflection by Beasley and the intercept for a TD I looked at my wife and said they simply find new ways to do "Billsy" things and ranted on line for a half hour. Went outside to work, came back in mid quarter watched that challenge by McD to overturn the Jets TD only to see them score again two plays later. At that point I figured it was hopeless and stopped ranting and thought long and hard about harvesting (a bit early) some of my local crop to help kill the pain. Then they stopped being Billsy and took over that fourth qtr. So I spared my lungs and got to celebrate a Bill's victory against a division opponent on the road.
