I’m not sure which of them is the most important.  I listed them in no particular order.  Each of them answered a question about this team coming into Week 1.

1.  Oliver;   5 QB hurries, 1 QB hit, 2 tackles, played most of the game on the Jet’s side of the line of scrimmage.  He looks legit.

2.  Bill’s run defense;  68 total rushing yards allowed. Looks like the run D is going to be significantly better this year.

3.  Singletary;  4 rushes for 70 yards, averaging 17.5 yards per carry.   5 completions on 6 targets for 28 yards. Motor looks dangerous.

4.  Allen leading two 4th quarter touchdown drives on the road.  Didn’t get down on himself, rallied the offense for the win.

5.  Hauschka 1/1 on field goals with a 43 yarder,  and 2/2 on extra points.  Our kicker didn't lose the game for us.  Kicking game may not be a dumpster fire after all.

Your #3 is important because it can never happen again. Motor getting 4 carries is a travesty. If Daboll and McD are going to gift Gore legacy touches Beane should just cut him too.

I have no problem with him getting 4th qtr carries to secure the ball but even then no time was taken off the clock. Hit the line and went down. I have said this before during the game but it is worth repeating.  Gore is as old as he looks. Anyone that says he has fuel in the tank is including fumes because I dont see it.

I see Singletary as the James White of the Bills offense. His use is going to completely depend on the matchup and is subject to a very change-of-pace approach.

He'll gain equal yardage amounts over ground and through the air.

I think it's perfect. I don't see the need to force him into an every-down work horse role right now.

It’s far from perfect if his RB teammates average 1.9 yards a carry. On what planet is that acceptable?

I think the Hauschka concern was overblown as even the best kickers go through funks once in a while.  Some other questions that I thought were answered.

-Milano's injury from last year didn't seem to impact at all as he was flying all over the field making plays.

-John Brown answered the question of who the Bills #1 WR is going forward.

-Sean McDermott will continue to maintain his clapping frequency.

It's one game.  It only becomes a problem if it becomes a pattern.

See that was exactly where I was and then they cut Shady. Singletary has to be the guy now and he has to be the guy early.

The win, Shady's performance yesterday, and Singletary's outstanding 4th quarter, save Beane from a lot of doubters and questions today. I have been all-in on Beane's moves, but this one I was not so sure about.

Gore looked very average--and his play at the goal line was not 16 year veteran-like. I will not be surprised to see Yeldon getting involved as we go forward.

Shady looked great yesterday. Just watched that game. He can 100% still play. They need to commit to Singletary now and use him to prove themselves right.... and not just in the 4th quarter

He certainly seems to have earned more playing time.

Hmm, if anything the RB play is raising more questions. Gore? Just 4 touches for Singletary ? Did we really use the passing game to setup the running game? Motor? Errr, 4 good runs against a D set to protect the pass. Lot's of questions here imho. Is it o-line based? Is Gore gassed? Can Singletary cary any real load?

Shady's performance yeserday:  10 carries 81 yards,  8.1/ypg      receive 1/1  12yds

much better than Gore's 1.8ypg on 11 carries and safety

I hope Gore is better mentor for Singletary than Shady. Otherwize the release of Shady was stupid

More than anything else, I think the question of "Are the Jets for real?" was answered. They had three players doing everything - Bell, Crowder, and Moseley, and when Moseley got hurt, it was all over. They had countless opportunities to bury Buffalo, and couldn't get it done. That's a fragile team.

Nice summary. Succinct and seemingly pretty accurate.

Shady did look good yesterday.   I think McBeane's thinking is that Shady and Singletary have the same running style.  They are both shifty, speedy, illusive, video game style running backs, and I think they see Gore as the ball security, grind the play clock down, pounder.  Keeping Shady would have been redundant and expensive with Singletary there.

Daboll may see a Thunder and Lightning type set up with Gore and Singletary.  I agree with you that Gore couldn't get it going yesterday, but the Jet's D is strongest up the middle.  In the second half Daboll seemed to realize that the Jet's couldn't contain on the edges and started dialing up Singletary's number and Motor feasted off the edges.  I wish Daboll would have noticed that sooner.  Mosley going out at the end certainly didn't hurt either...

Gore’s touches should be on the third and short (when they sneaked) and on the last drive of the game trying to kill the game I want the Vet in there over the Rookie

Gore is a better mentor. That is easy to answer. Even when Shady was here who was Singletary attached too McCoy or Gore (it was Gore). And that is telling enough

Another question answered - there will be more inane posts about clapping frequency.
