ChicagoRic Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 (edited) Nice game by Sweeney. 35 yards and showed really good drive blocking on a Singletary run. Knox: 1 yard. Nothing to report in terms of blocking. Oliver: 2 tackles. I'll take it. Ford: Struggled. Edited September 8, 2019 by ChicagoRic
CaptnCoke11 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 (edited) Good start for some of the rooks.. week 1 so won’t be too critical on Ford yet. Jets front is good. He’ll improve. Edited September 8, 2019 by CaptnCoke11

ChicagoRic Posted September 8, 2019 Author Posted September 8, 2019 Oops....in my defense, we sure did not look like a rook.

whatdrought Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I was hoping Johnson would get a sack, but he isn't taking any play time from Shaq anytime soon... 1
chris heff Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Sweeney made no attempt to block edge rusher that tipped ball on second interception, just saying.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I liked Singletary but I think Shady scores on two of Singletary's four runs. The first breakaway and the one near the goalline. 1
Formerly Allan in MD Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Sweeney may turn out to be a major surprise of the draft. Obviously he still has a lot to learn.
TPS Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 I'm hoping someone (Cover2, Baldy?) will do a video analysis of Oliver's first game. Seems as if he did well.
oldmanfan Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 I think Oliver had some good push on the pocket. 1

BuffaloBill Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Sweeney had a good catch and was in the midst of a few run plays. It looks like we got a steal with him in the 7th round. 1
berg1029 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Did anyone key in on Oliver? I didn't really notice him much

A lot of what's important to NFL players is respect. Other players notice how stars are treated. Washington didn't even have Adrian Peterson suit up today -- how can you do that and not have other players notice? Shady could still have been very good for the team this year, but he wasn't going to get the carries he's used to. It wouldn't sit well for a rookie to become the lead back while he watches from the sidelines. Cutting him instead of trading him? That shows respect too. Instead of getting a low draft pick for a HOF candidate, they let him pick his team, and possibly get a ring at the end of his career. Good for him. Shady responded with very appreciative tweets about the team and about Buffalo. I think this was handled correctly by the Bills. 4 1 1

It just drives me crazy that KC's 3 offensive leaders today were or could have been Bills: Shady, Watkins, and Mahomes. Edited September 9, 2019 by class_of_2012 2

Yeah, but unless they got Andy Reid as well I don't think the results would have been what you are looking for. 2 1

And the first time he touched it he dropped it. He looked good overall though. Shady scores on two of the four carries imo.
