SoCal Deek Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 How about the ...nians? So they’d be the ...wait for it...Buffalonians! ? 1

BillsPride12 Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Hell No. At this point the Bills Are Buffalo!

Because virtually nobody (except established fans) knows what the name refers to, it is in the abstract realm and thus can be anything you make of it. So, whereas a Lion is a lion and a Cowboy is a cowboy, a Bill is up to you...and to you...and to you. That's why 'the Bills' make me want to shout! It's true. When people outside of Buffalo ask me what a Bill is, I like to say it's a baby buffalo. They usually believe it.
BigDingus Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Instead of Buffalo Bills, I'd rename them to Buffalo Wings. Just straight up Buffalo Wings. If a game is on, they always show the falls and someone, somewhere making wings anyway, might as well just embrace it. The city is already known for Buffalo Wings, why not make them known for THE Buffalo Wings too? lol 1
BuffaloButt Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Buffalo Stampede (mascot remains the same)! Maybe Bill should be riding a Buffalo!

Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 This is by far the worst post in the history of this board.
Rico Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 No, but I would remove the statue of Ralph, just like they did to JoePa.
1st&ten Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 I like the Bills----but if we had to change: Buffalo Bugaboos Buffalo Bastards Buffalo Bad Asses
MJS Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Don't change the name. Change the logo. A flying, crime fighting dollar bill. 1

There was a poster who wanted to trade our started DE to cardinals for their backup backup QB John Skelton and convinced a number of (formerly) respected posters of the validity of his insane idea. Oh and on the original issue there was actually a poll on which name the new team was to be called and Buffalo Bills was the favorite. 1
GreggTX Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 I liked the team's original name -- Bisons. I've never cared for "Bills" even though this will always be my team. I'd like to see new new unis too -- Beige, brown (trim) and a copper bison head on the helmet.
Charles Romes Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Thank god the team name is tied to the city. The franchise likely would have moved a long time ago with a more transportable name.

HalftimeAdjustment Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 I prefer it as is, but the Bisons is also a good name. So is the All-Americans.

What if we had a bullet train as a logo to overstep the politically charged thoughts? Not that I would ever want to change anything about our teams identity now!
